Alabama has won 56 of the 88 football games they have played against LSU, so why…

…is Nick Saban frightened of a 9 game SEC schedule?
Is it Auburn he is scared of?
Tennessee?
or could it be LSU?
We hear a lot of crowing about TSIO, but if we lose that game along w DSOR because of a 1-7 schedule for the long term, we have only tFear to blame…

Wasn’t he in favor of a 9 game schedule for years?

*had been
that was when he thought Bama would get MS State; when he found out it would be LSU, he changed his tune…

Because Alabama would be the only one whose permanent 3 opponents would be Big 6 schools and no one else would have that disadvantage.
Non-starter.
Non-starter.

Except he’s against it now

We went 31 years in a row without losing a game in Baton Rouge. We use to have to pay property taxes on Tiger Stadium.

He isn’t saying he doesn’t want a 9 game schedule. Everybody else has a vandy, South Carolina or miss st on the yearly schedule. Bama would be the only school to have 3 of the top 6 sec teams on the schedule yearly. The only school that has 3 teams that have won a national title on the schedule every year. That’s his issue and I agree totally. You can’t take away the iron bowl and 3rd Saturday so that leaves state that will probably be the 3rd and now everybody would have one of the bottom 6 yearly.

Because they used a flawed formula of the last 10 years in winning %.
It has been Tennessee's worst 10 year stretch in their history. They are a Big 6 school.
Again, flawed formula.
quote:
Alabama: Auburn, LSU, Tennessee
Auburn: Alabama, Georgia, Vanderbilt
Florida: Georgia, Oklahoma, South Carolina
Georgia: Auburn, Florida, Kentucky
LSU: Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas A&M
Tennessee: Alabama, South Carolina, Vanderbilt
One of these things is not like the other.
Unless LSU wants to trade Ole Miss for Tennessee on Alabama's schedule.

I think I would rather play Auburn/Tenn every year than Ole Miss/aTm. Over the past 20 years, OM/aTm have been better consistnatly than AU/UT.
My point is that LSU and Bama both have pretty damn tough 3 team permanants. Lets not try to act like Bama has it so much harder than anyone else.
Now, I think those 2 have by far the toughest draws. But as an LSU fan, this is to be expected.

From what I gather is it's Tn. & if they're considered in "the upper 1/2" or "lower 1/2".
They are listed as "lower 1/2" (which fits the breakdown:
"Upper 1/2" teams get 2 "upper 1/2" & 1 "lower 1/2" (while "lower 1/2" get 2 "lower 1/2" & 1 "upper 1/2"))
But this also preserves TSIO.
Just my take.

While TN is considered "B6" (history-wise), they havent been playing like that lately (which was used to sort teams).

So the answer is, Saban is scared. Thanks for clearing that up.

He's against being the only team in the league that was hinted to get 3x Big 6/members annually.
Frankly, I'd not miss the Iron Bowl. Would like to see LSU and UTk every year, plus a MS school.
