Injuries like that are horrible to see. Definitely felt bad for he and his family last night. Quick healing to you Mr. McCoy.

Brutal injury, but to be honest it's better than a knee blowout.

Hope he recovers quickly.

I had this exact injury and surgery at 22 years old and it was a full 5-6 month recovery back to full speed.

Did yours come back 100%?

I just hope he might be able to resume football.

I got around to watching this tonight and man.. he took that injury like a champ so much it had me confused if he was actually hurt. Hate all his folks were there to see it. Sorry Vols.

I not so sure it is. I badly sprained both my ankles at different times when I was younger, and granted they do more to repair them now, but just living with dodgy ankles is tough. I think it takes a lot to have confidence in them again. Tightrope sx has probably been a difference maker for top athletes, but there is a lot more going on in the ankle than the knee when it comes to playing football.

Sorry to hear that for McCoy. Had a similar injury happen to a kid on my high school team except his was a spiral break.

Hope he has a solid recovery

Hate to see that. I read that he is a senior, but has 1 year of eligibility left after this season. Do any Vol fans know if that is correct? Hopefully it is so he can try to rehab and get back out there.

Had that same injury .... rehab is a bitch and he'll have a helluva sprained ankle to get over once the bones are healed, plus he'll have a lot of scar tissue trying to bond to the bone but .... he'll be able to play again. At his age he should have no problems being ready to go by July.

Best wishes to him.

What kind of people down vote a positive update on an injured player?
