If “really good” means winning 10 games in the big 12 which is now an absolute joke then yeah that could certainly happen. I don’t think they’d do better than .500 in SEC play, west or east.

I said .500 in SEC play. 10-2 in big 12 is 8-4ish in SEC. You can argue that every SEC West team will be better than any Big 12 competition Texas will face this year.

I wouldn't go that far, but I am VERY interested to see how OU/TX find a place in this league.
In '92 arkansas had a pretty respectable history but they weren't anywhere close to the other top 6 programs in the league. SC was, well..
In '12 A&M had some good history and great potential due to resources but again, nobody was really expecting them to be in the top 4/5 of the league on a regular routine basis. Missouri had just come off some success a few years prior but was seen as middle of the pack.
With TX/OU, both of those teams histories are exponentially better than any of the other 4 newcomers. Both of those schools are going to feel and expect like they SHOULD be in the top 3/4 yearly. It's a whole different feel having them here. They almost surely will accomplish more than the other 4 BUT, they are sadly mistaken if they think they're going to come in and run the conference. There is a world of difference in playign a year-long slate of Big12 teams compared to the SEC.

I guess you guys like rehashing the same stuff. Yes, we've sucked for 13 years. Yes, Sark has us primed for disappointment and, because our interior o-line stinks (and Sark wouldn't address this via the portal for 3 off-seasons) we will underachieve this year too. Will we hire the right coach after we fire Sark...I have no idea. I'm not optimistic.
