I am still melting over Ole Miss landing Chris Beard, while LSU fired Will Wade for matt McMahon

I think Pitino is rated too low. Though he had personal issues he seems to win wherever he goes. I watched some Iona games this year and they did well.
It’ll be interesting to see what he can do at St Johns, he seems more suited to that part of the country.
Edit: I’d actually switch Calipari and Pitino. Calipari is a great recruiter but average coach. Pitino can coach circles around him and if given the talent that cal has had he probably is sitting on a few more championships. But that’s just my opinion.

Having him on this list and not Mike White is stupid…especially after what White has done with this recruiting class in his 2nd cycle.
We are by no means going to be a contender this year, but next year we should be in the tournament.
Dude was multi-time conference coach of the year and has put teams past the first round of the NCAA tournament
Can someone give me a comparison that puts Golden over White?

Imagine seeing the last 3 coaches at your school all in the Top 25 and your current coach is nowhere to be found on the list.
We did the right right thing with Beard.. but that doesn’t mean I have to like it. We will probably never beat Ole Miss in basketball.

if youre gonna put Cal at #6 (presumably based off his past accomplishments), then Barnes has got to be higher

You're coming to this conclusion after RT had the team rebound from that awful situation and stay focused to achieve what they did, and he hasn't even coached a game as full-time HC yet? And you're going to act like Chris Beard will be immediately as dominant as if nothing whatsoever happened to him personally over the last 6 months?
Beard will likely be good again. RT will likely fall short of reaching quite the level Beard is. But automatically assuming that as the absolute, and assuming RT has no shot of beating Beard (literally after whopping Bill Self's arse twice over the course of 8 days last season) based on one and a half months of offseason is incredibly premature and makes you look like a titty baby.
Sack tf up
