They shouldn’t you’re right, but they’ve earned it. They had a Top 4 NFL pick at QB drafted on Potential that Florida couldn’t tap into.

I’m not sure how good Alabama can be if they start a qb that was terrible last year . Whoever they start is gonna be someone that wasn’t even remotely close to being a good passer last year.
It will be the biggest test to see if a team can win with a good roster but a not so good qb . It’s not out of the realm of possibility to think it may not work out. I’m sure they will be good still but I can see why some are skeptical

LSU will be a far more fundamentally sound team that will execute a lot better than last year’s team. LSU will not get blown out by anyone this year like last year’s team did, see Tennessee game last year. LSU will show up for every game this year unlike last year, see Texas A&M game.
We went 10-4 last year. We will have a better record. Should go 12-2, 11-3 at worst. May, or May not win the west, Bama couid win it. Even if LSU doesn’t make Atlanta, they will be significantly better than last year’s team. Tennessee was a better team than LSU last year and they didn’t make Atlanta.
So…. I expect a very strong fundamentally sound team that ends the year ranked in the top 10 and plays, and wins, at worst in a NY6 bowl game.
If things fall just right, we could win the west, and even might win the SEC championship. But, that’s more of a wish than expectation.
