Yep the 2022 team copied 2021. And 2023 will be copying both

Im sure other fanbases could add some more thoughts to this thread as well.
Sam Pittman has said that he has copied his practices and such from his time in Georgia. But the one thing that can’t be copied from Georgia and Bama right now is the amount of high quality players they get.
They have cornered the market on the best players.

Fast forward to today, and they have a head coach who has made it his mission to copy everything Alabama - the most legendary college program. He's replicated Saban's entire football program to a T. He took tons of notes, and stole material from Alabama's facility, and then slapped the rip off G logo on it, and called it a day.
1. Your coach worked for Belichick who worked for Parcells. I guess you think they learned nothing from their predecessors.
2. If it were as easy as just copying your coach, what happened to Jimbo, Derek D., Billy, Lane K., Sark, etc. etc. etc.

Melts like this are what make this website great.

If I were a UGA fan, I would worry if Smart copied Saban by becoming infatuated with the QB position and high scoring passing game. Bama forgot what put them on top. UGA has won back to back with average QB and WR play and a stout D. Don’t forget who you are.

UGA had a high scoring passing game last year. We often used for about 2.5 Q's a game, and then went heavy with the run to end the game.

You seem upset…Maybe Kirby was the mastermind in Alabama.

I can't wait to copy 1934-36 Minnesota

The OP is just mad that Georgia is better than BAMA now and he realizes the reason for more than half of Saban’s success at BAMA is because of Kirby. BAMA is not PASTTENCEU

Kirby left. You miss him. We get it. That is what happens when mama calls, Bear.

Kirby is the main reason for the success at bama. Saban won 6 titles with Kirby and 2 without, with bama on a decline now, tells me Kirby was the real man behind the scene. Bama fans know it too! The top football program in the South should've always been at UGA. Bama is in it's rightful place.

average QB play
I'm kind of with Stetson here. It really doesn't matter what you do when the media, fans, etc. have already written their narrative for you. There was really nothing average about his QB play last year....especially in the big games.

Brooks Austin this week:
"Kirby Smart is breaking speed records on roads paved by others."
That pretty much sums up college football this second.

Is there anything better than a solid Bama melt in the morning?

A strong argument could be made that he and Saban co-wrote the blueprint together.

If copying the "Alabama" formula was so easy, why are we the first program to successfully pull it off? Seems like we might have hired the key cog in the Alabama machine...

First, we'll start with the team's logo, which they ripped off of the Green Bay Packers. Their very logo and helmet sticker is a complete rip off of the most iconic football team.
Awwwrighty.....ENOUGH of this crap and lies about UGA ripping off the Power G logo from Green Bay!! How many times has this got to be explained to you morons???
UGA's "Power G" logo is uniquely GEORGIA's, not Green Bay!
Prior to Vince Dooley becoming UGA's HC in 1963, Green Bay's "G" was more squared-looking.
Dooley wanted to change our helmets from an all-silver look and go with an iconic single letter-logo with a "G" on it. UGA contacted Green Bay for permission to put a similar looking G on our helmets and GB gave permission.
However, UGA went with a slightly different looking G, one that was more elongated and more shaped like an actual football. This became known as the Power G. UGA TRADEMARKED THIS PARTICULAR G!!!
YOU WILL NEVER SEE THE REGISTERED TRADEMARK NEXT TO THE POWER G ON ANY GREEN BAY HELMET OR JERSEY OR ANYTHING GREEN BAY --- ONLY NEXT TO GEORGIA'S G WILL YOU SEE THE TRADEMARK SYMBOL!!!
Green Bay liked UGA's version of the G better than their own and UGA granted GB permission to use it. Grambling tUniversity has also been GRANTED PERMISSION by the UGA AA to use it as well.
THE OFFICIAL WORD ABOUT THE "G" FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA ATHLETICS WEBSITE BELOW:
The Georgia "G" Helmet
In 1963 after becoming the Bulldogs' Head Football Coach, Vince Dooley redesigned the football uniform choosing a red helmet with a black "G" on a white background as the dominant feature of the new uniform for the 1964 season.
He discussed with his staff that a forward-looking "G" would be an appropriate emblem for the helmet of the Georgia team. Dooley had just hired John Donaldson, former Georgia player from 1945 to 1948, as backfield coach. John was keen on the idea of a new image and volunteered his wife, Anne, who had a BFA in commercial art from UGA to design a logo for the new Georgia helmet with the general specifications Dooley had outlined. Dooley accepted Anne's original "G" which fit his vision for a forward look to Georgia's new emblem.
Since the Georgia "G"- though different in design and color- was similar to Green Bay's "G", Coach Dooley thought it best to clear the use of Georgia's new emblem with the NFL team. Athletic Director Joel Eaves called for permission which was granted. However, since its inception in 1961, the Green Bay "G" has been redesigned several times and now looks like Georgia's original 1964 "G." Georgia is proud that the Packers apparently liked the special nuances of the Bulldogs' forward-looking "G."
Georgia's oval "G", eventually replacing Georgia's old block "G" as the official UGA symbol, has stood the test of time. It made its first appearance in the opening game in 1964 and was an immediate hit with the Georgia fans, especially after Dooley's first three teams were so successful--highlighted by the 1966 SEC Championship.
Notice the Registered Trademark symbol in lower right quadrant of Georgia's logo.
Notice there is NO registered Trademark symbol on Green Bay's logo. Why?? Because GEORGIA OWNS THE TRADEMARK TO THIS LOGO -- not Green Bay!!!
