You’re assuming. Lot different with 12 spots than 4.

This isn't correct.
You have to do the top 4 getting a bye. You can't have Semi-Finals with 3 teams left.

Texas Longhorns: N/A

Lots wrong. No g5 champions, no first round byes.

This is going to be cool. Will have fewer players skipping out. Drop a game and you still have something to play for… a TON of SEC teams are going to get in and this thing is going to make so much money. I’m happy to do CFB brackets also.

quote:well aware the rankings would've been different if the 12 team CFP had been implemented back then but I'm using the rankings from back then for matchups since we have no way of knowing what the actual rankings would've been like. That's why there's no G5 champs like another poster remarked

That 2014 TCU team absolutely destroyed us. We had no answer on either side of the ball. Reminded me of the Gator Bowl we played in against Michigan.

Updated to include byes for top 4 teams

Super! Now we go from meaningless bowl games to meaningless playoff games!
5-12 will get prison raped by at least 3 of the top 4 teams. But at least adding more of these bullshite games potentially equalizes the playing field by increasing the chances of the best team losing a Heisman winning RB, QB or WR(s) during a first round blowout.

Even more proof the season* was a farce.

The 6 highest ranking conference champs make the playoffs, so there will always be at least 1 G5 team (even if they are not in the top 12).

Like I said to two other posters who remarked about the lack of G5 champs I was using the final rankings from those years to determine matchups, I know the rankings would've not been the same and would've included G5 teams had it been in place at that time.

Richt definitely petered out at the end of his tenure.

In 2015 12th seeded OM beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa and we weren’t playing our best ball till the end of the year. We would have had the chance to go far in that set up.
