Saw this post on the rant. Makes it seem like this first game vs LSU is really important for the rest of the season.

quote:

Upon looking at the composite schedule a bit closer, I did not realize how much of an advantage Auburn seemingly has this year over especially LSU and Kentucky. If you take these current Top 5 teams in the league (LSU, UT, AU, UK, AL), here are how many games each of these plays against the other teams in that Top Tier group:

7- LSU (3 at home, 4 away)
7- Kentucky (3 at home, 4 away)
7- Alabama (4 at home, 3 away)
6- Tennessee (3 at home, 3 away)
5- Auburn (3 at home, 2 away)

For Auburn to only have to go on the road twice against LSU, Alabama, Tennessee, and Kentucky combined is quite the advantage... especially when you compare LSU and Kentucky having to go on the road against the group 2 extra times in comparison, plus play one more game at home. I know its impossible to 100% balance the schedules, but this seems significant.

The take that their are only 5 good teams isn't correct though in that take auburn32.

I saw that on the rant as well but you have to add in UF, Arky, and MSU all of which can win games on the road or at home against any of the highest ranked 5 teams right now.

I have been saying whoever gets the least amount of tough road games and who catches who at home will make a huge difference in the conference race since before the season started. Right now looks like we are in a pretty good spot but anything could change in a week. 1 game at a time.

Ole Miss can also beat us. A&M and Vandy aren’t slouches either

Our Schedule is not too bad because of the teams we draw twice:

Net Rank / Team
24 Alabama
52 Florida
104 S. Carolina
133 Ole Miss
208 Georgia

Alabama’s duplicates:
3 LSU
10 Auburn
23 Kentucky
41 Miss State
235 Missouri

ETA: Our games against LSU and Kentucky are at Home.

What's up with Cooper, is he in virus protocol? If not, he must be doing awful not to get a call up with all the Hawks that are.

LSU doesn’t know what kind of madhouse they’re walking in to.

Without students on campus we’ll need some help from the larger crowd

Yea lack of students is a buzz kill. They should wait to start SEC play til students are back.

In another sense though it’s probably good that it’s a big game cause it will still be an awesome crowd. If we were playing like Ole Miss it would probably be 2/3 attendance and we would play tight and lose

Big game. Need the win to kick off conference play.

But big scheme we have 19 more games to play for decent seeding we need 13 wins.
