Arkansas landed its eighth football commitment for the Class of 2025 on Saturday afternoon when Owasso (Okla.) offensive tackle Blake Cherry went public with his college decision.

Cherry, 6-5, 295, chose the Hogs over offers from Texas A&M, Nebraska, Minnesota, Arizona State, Kansas State, Boston College, Kansas and others. He is Arkansas' second commitment of the day, joining Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview three-star athlete Quentin Murphy, who made his decision known at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Cherry, who is unranked thus far by 247Sports, made an unofficial visit in Fayetteville in late January and is expected to use his official visit on The Hill next weekend, June 14-16.

Arkansas entered the day with the nation's 53th-ranked recruiting class for the 2025 cycle with six verbal commitments in Maumelle (Ark.) Central Arkansas Christian quarterback Grayson Wilson, Atlanta (Texas) running back Markeylin Batton, West Palm Beach (Fla.) Palm Beach Central wide receiver Kamare Williams, Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff linebacker Jayden Shelton, Mobile (Ala.) Williamson safety Taijh Overton, and Bay St. Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus kicker Evan Noel.

The Hogs moved to 45th nationally with the addition of Murphy, and we'll wait on Cherry's ranking to see how much more of a push Arkansas can get over the weekend.

The Arkansas football team has received good news for the second time today, as 2025 three-star offensive lineman Blake Cherry announced his commitment to the Razorbacks on X (formerly Twitter).

A 6-foot-6, 305-pound tackle from Owasso, Oklahoma, Cherry chose the Hogs over offers from programs like Arizona State, Baylor, Colorado State, Houston, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and others.

The second commitment for the class of 2025 on Saturday, Cherry joins three-star in-state Parkview athlete Quentin Murphy as pledges to join Arkansas' ranks.

Cherry visited Fayetteville for Arkansas' Junior Day on Jan. 20, the same day he received an offer from head coach Sam Pittman and the Razorbacks.

Should he sign and end up on campus in the Natural State, Cherry will be the first scholarship Oklahoma native to join the Razorbacks since tight end Luke Hasz and safety Dylan Hasz committed out of Bixby, Oklahoma in the class of 2023.

Following Cherry's commitment, the Razorbacks sit with eight prospects in the class of 2025.

Carthage (Texas) offensive lineman Kash Courtney has flipped his commitment from Baylor to the Arkansas Razorbacks. Courtney, 6-4, 285, went public with his decision on Tuesday, becoming the Hogs' ninth verbal commitment for the Class of 2025.

Courtney was one of 13 official visitors in Fayetteville to start the month of June, and is now Arkansas' second offensive line commitment of the class, joining Owasso (Okla.) three-star offensive tackle Blake Cherry. The Razorbacks are also now predicted to land a third offensive lineman in St. Could (Fla.) senior-to-be Connor Howes, who also visited on the opening weekend of June.

In addition to the Hogs and Bears, Courtney's offer list also includes Duke, Houston, West Virginia, Texas Tech and others.

Arkansas' eight other commitments include five on the offensive side in three-star quarterback Grayson Wilson of Conway (Ark.), three-star athlete Quentin Murphy of Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview, three-star running back Markeylin Batton of Atlanta (Texas), three-star wide receiver Kamare Williams of West Palm Beach (Fla.) Central, and three-star offensive lineman Blake Cherry of Owasso (Okla.).

The Razorbacks also have two defensive commitments in three-star linebacker Jayden Shelton of Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff and three-star safety Taijh Overton of Mobile (Ala.) Williamson. There's one specialist committed, as well, in Bay St. Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus kicker Evan Noel.

Arkansas entered Tuesday with the nation's No. 52 overall class and the No. 14 class in the SEC for the 2025 cycle.

The Arkansas Razorbacks have flipped the commitment of 2025 three-star offensive lineman Kash Courtney from Baylor.

Courtney had been committed to Baylor since Oct. 29, 2023, but took an official visit to Arkansas the weekend of May 31, and it was enough to convince him to join the Razorbacks.

The Carthage, Texas, native made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter).

In addition to Baylor and Arkansas, Courtney holds offers from Texas Tech, SMU, Duke, West Virginia and others.

Arkansas offensive line coach Eric Mateos was key in Courtney’s recruitment, as he was the one to win his first commitment to Baylor and then once more now that he is at Arkansas.

Courtney is the second offensive lineman to commit to Arkansas in the 2025 class.

Connor Howes was impressed with everything when he officially visited Arkansas a few weeks ago, and the topper was the offensive line coaching setup.

Not only does the St. Cloud (Fla.) High offensive lineman have a belief in offensive line coach Eric Mateos' ability to develop players, the idea of coach Sam Pittman having a decades-long background as an offensive line coach is a bonus he could not pass up.

Howes announced his commitment to the Razorbacks moments ago, and the duo of Pittman and Mateos was a big part of his decision.

"It means a lot," Howes said. "It means he cares. I want a coach that has a personal relationship with you as an offensive lineman, and that means a lot to me. He helps out with the o-line during practice.

"It's two coaches who are on the same page teaching you. You have two pairs of eyes on you, so it's better."

During the process, Howes became comfortable with Mateos.

"I am really big with creating a relationship with the coach," Howes said. "At the end of the day, you are going to be with the o-line coach more than you are with any other coach so if you can't create a relationship with him, a bond with him, then that is not the right school for you."

Howes was named first-team all-Conference following his junior season.

Here's everything you need to know:

WHAT CONNOR HOWES SAYS ABOUT ARKANSAS

"Just the environment," he said. "Between the coaches and getting to hang out with the players and how they interact with each other, and the facilities, the education -- I got to speak with some of the people in academics -- everything about it was amazing to me."

WHO ELSE WAS IN THE MIX?

He was going to visit NC State and Ole Miss during the last two visits weekends in June, but he canceled those and concentrated on Arkansas and Rutgers. Howes made an official visit to Arkansas May 31-June 2, and he was at Rutgers June 7-9. After those trips, Howes decided to take time and make a decision rather than make other visits.

WHERE CONNOR HOWES RANKS AS A RECRUIT

Howes has a 247Sports grade of 88, which makes him the No. 53 player in Florida and No. 38 offensive tackle in the nation. The industry-generated 247Sports Composite has Howes as the No. 347 player in the class of 2025.

HOW CONNOR HOWES FITS WITH ARKANSAS

Arkansas is building its offensive line class in June. Howes is the third member of the unit to commit this month as he joins Owasso (Okla.) High's Blake Cherry and Carthage (Texas) High's Kash Courtney. The Razorbacks entered the third official visit weekend of June with nine commitments.

WHAT WE THINK ABOUT CONNOR HOWES

During an in-person evaluation in the spring, 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins was impressed with Howes' versatility.

"He's an athletic offensive line prospect with very favorable features that can play multiple spots up front including right tackle," Ivins said. "Caught our eye right away at Under Armour Next Camp in Orlando back in February where he tested off the charts. Over 6-foot-5 and carries 300 pounds way better than most.

"Serviceable kick-step at this stage and should only get better in pass protection with some seasoning. Aggressive punch. It might not be a perfect comp, but similar in some ways to former Arkansas lineman Hjalte Froholdt. "

The Arkansas Razorbacks added another offensive lineman in their 2025 class on Friday as three-star Connor Howes announced his commitment to Arkansas.

Howes made his decision public after taking an official visit to Fayetteville the weekend of May 31. He chose the Razorbacks over Rutgers, where he took an official visit the weekend of June 7.

He had official visits scheduled to NC State and Ole Miss, but canceled those before making his commitment to Arkansas public.

The St. Cloud, Florida, native made it no secret that he had a heavy interest in the Razorbacks on social media and openly expressed his desire to play with now-fellow offensive line commit Kash Courtney.

With Howes' commitment, Arkansas now sits at 10 total in the class of 2025, which includes three big men up front on the offensive line, all three-star recruits — Howes, Kash Courtney and Blake Cherry.

The state of Florida hasn't produced many Arkansas athletes in recent years, as Howes is only the third from the Sunshine State to commit to Arkansas in the Sam Pittman era, but offensive linemen from the Florida high school ranks are an even smaller subgroup.

Assuming he signs with Arkansas, Howes will be the first offensive lineman from the state of Florida to join the Razorback program out of high school since Jalen Merrick in the class of 2015, and just the fifth since 2002, when Rivals began ranking recruits.

Madison, 6-2, 275, announced his pick after wrapping up an official visit in Fayetteville (Ark.). He was recruited to Arkansas by defensive line coach Deke Adams and is the Hogs' first defensive line commitment for the Class of 2025.

Madison chose the Razorbacks over other offers from Missouri, Georgia Tech, NC State, Pittsburgh, SMU, Kansas and several others.

Arkansas' other commitments include seven on the offensive side in three-star quarterback Grayson Wilson of Conway (Ark.), three-star athlete Quentin Murphy of Little Rock (Ark.) Arkansas hosted a total of 11 official visitors over the weekend, including Madison, offensive lineman Keiton Jones, wide receiver Kamare Williams, defensive lineman Keiundre Johnson, cornerback Aidan Anding, running backs Monterrio Elston and Cameron Settles, defensive tackle Dilan Battle, cornerback Nigel Pringle, defensive lineman Caleb Bell, and offensive lineman Blake Cherry.

Terrell (Texas) edge rusher Keiundre Johnson has committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks. The 6-3, 230-pound lineman went public with his college decision on Sunday after wrapping up an official visit in Fayetteville.

Johnson chose the Razorbacks over reported offers from SMU, Texas A&M, Baylor, Florida State, LSU, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas, USC and several others. He is the Hogs' eleventh verbal commitment for the Class of 2025.

"The relationship with Coach Adams and Coach Green," Johnson said of his decision "The players, I connected very well. I liked the people in Fayetteville."

Johnson needed just one 48-hour official visit on The Hill to make up his mind.

"The visit was amazing. It was way more than I expected, I loved it a lot," Johnson said. "I've got to talk to Coach Pittman here soon and will probably have some big news coming after that, but I loved it a lot."

The two-way standout was recruited to Fayetteville by defensive line coach Deke Adams.

"I like the way he uses ends on the edge," Johnson said. "I like the way the defense is. He's a great coach and he's easy to connect with."

According to 247Sports, Johnson is a three-star prospect, the 49th edge rusher in the nation, and the 123rd overall target in Texas for the 2025 cycle. The 247Sports Composite rankings have him at 40th among all edge rushers and 89th overall in the state of Texas.

Arkansas gained its 13th verbal commitment for the Class of 2025 on Wednesday when Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton defensive lineman Caleb Bell went public with his college decision. Bell, 6-3, 270, chose the Razorbacks over scholarships from Georgia Tech, NC State, Indiana, Missouri, Mississippi State and others.

He was recruited to Fayetteville by defensive line coach Deke Adams and is considered a future defensive end for the Hogs.

Bell was offered by the Razorbacks in March, made an unofficial visit in April, then returned to Fayetteville last weekend for an official visit.

"It was fun, it was good being back down here seeing everything a little bit more and spend time with the coaches and players," Bell said. "The campus really, and the team (were the highlights). I could see myself being here. It's very likable and enjoyable at Arkansas."

According to 247Sports, Bell is a three-star defensive lineman, No. 57 nationally at his potiion, and 63rd overall in the state of Georgia. The 247Sports Composite rankings have him as the 86th defensive lineman in the country and 96th overall in Georgia.

Bell's father, Kendrell Bell, played at Georgia and was selected in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Arkansas' 12 other commitments include seven on the offensive side in three-star quarterback Grayson Wilson of Conway (Ark.), three-star athlete Quentin Murphy of Little Rock (Ark.) The Arkansas Razorbacks deepened their 2025 class on Wednesday as three-star defensive lineman Caleb Bell committed to the Hogs.

Bell, a native of Alpharetta, Georgia, made his commitment public on X (formerly Twitter) through a post by Leyton Roberts, following an official visit to Fayetteville this past weekend.

Bell took several visits to Fayetteville this year, arriving first in March, when he received the offer. He took another unofficial visit in April and capped it off with his official visit the weekend of June 14.

The son of former NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Kendrell Bell, Caleb chose the Razorbacks over offers from NC State, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Louisville and others.

As a junior, Bell racked up 75 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks. He also intercepted one pass that was returned for a touchdown.

The 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive end is the third defensive lineman to commit to Arkansas in the 2025 class, joining fellow Alpharetta native JQ Madison, who committed to the Razorbacks on Sunday.

He is but he was probably told that it wouldn't be a good idea going to a school with a coach on the hot seat.

Arkansas has only two players in the top 10 in the state. Oklahoma, Penn State and Notre Dame are getting players in the state. No one is coming here.

A coach on the hot seat and the lack of interest within the state in recruiting is hurting Arkansas.

yes I was being facetious. Just pointing out one of the precious few elite prospects we have within the state, who plays a position our head coach is supposed to specialize in, and specialize in recruiting, goes to a conference rival

I'm sure they worked hard on getting him to Fayetteville, but I'm also pretty sure $$$ was the deciding factor.
Throw enough money and they will come.

Warren (Ark.) wide receiver Antonio Jordan has committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks. Jordan, 6-6, 230, went public with his decision on Sunday at the end of an official visit in Fayetteville. He chose Sam Pittman and the Hogs over scholarship offers from Florida State, South Carolina and Tennessee.

"Home," Jordan said of his decision. "I'm an Arkansas kid. Always been. I love it here.

"They've been with me since like my freshman year. Even before I became a receiver, Pittman has been with me since. That means lot. I haven't been to any other schools but here, because I'm close with Pittman. We have a bond."

Jordan was recruited by first-year wide receivers coach Ronnie Fouch.

"We've gotten closer than I thought we would have," Jordan said. "He's cool, great guy to be around."

According to 247Sports, Jordan is the 121st wide receiver in the country and the No. 8 prospect in the state of Arkansas.

Warren is home to several former Razorback greats, including Jarius Wright, Chris Gragg, Greg Childs, and Treylon Burks.

Arkansas' 13 other commitments in the 2025 class include seven on the offensive side in three-star quarterback Grayson Wilson of Conway (Ark.), three-star athlete Quentin Murphy of Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview, three-star running back Markeylin Batton of Atlanta (Texas), three-star wide receiver Kamare Williams of West Palm Beach (Fla.) Central, three-star offensive lineman Connor Howes of St. Could (Fla.), three-star offensive lineman Kash Courtney of Carthage (Texas), and three-star offensive lineman Blake Cherry of Owasso (Okla.).

The Razorbacks also have four defensive commitments in three-star linebacker Jayden Shelton of Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff, three-star defensive end Keiundre Johnson of Terrell (Texas), three-star defensive tackle JaQuentin Madison of Alpharetta (Ga.), three-star defensive lineman Caleb Bell of Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton, and three-star safety Taijh Overton of Mobile (Ala.) Williamson. There's one specialist committed, as well, in Bay St. Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus kicker Evan Noel.

Arkansas entered Tuesday with the nation's No. 34 overall class and the No. 13 class in the SEC for the 2025 cycle. Jordan's commitment pushes the Hogs to 31st nationally but still 3.62 points behind Kentucky for 13th in the SEC rankings.

In addition to Jordan, the Razorbacks' visit weekend also included three current commitments in Wilson, Batton, and Noel, plus Mobile (Ala.) Faith Academy edge rusher Trent Sellers, Flowood (Miss.) Hartfield Academy defensive lineman Reginald Vaughn, and Birmingham (Ala.) Parker cornerback and Miami commitment Timothy Merritt.

Arkansas has had great success with athletes out of Warren, and another one has announced his pledge to the Razorbacks as three-star Antonio Jordan committed to the Hogs on Sunday.

Jordan's recruitment has been extremely quiet, and he hasn't spoken to reporters about his recruitment at all. He chose the Razorbacks over offers from Florida State, LSU, South Carolina and others.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 210 pounds, Jordan is expected to play wide receiver when he gets to campus in Fayetteville.

Jordan is the second wide receiver to commit to the Razorbacks in the 2025 class, as he joins three-star Kamare Williams.

Arkansas now has three in-state prospects in the fold for the 2025 class, as Jordan joins four-star quarterback Grayson Wilson and three-star athlete Quentin Murphy.

Altogether, Arkansas has 14 total commitments in the class of 2025.

Arkansas is up to four defensive line commitments for the 2025 cycle after landing a commitment Sunday evening from Trent Sellers of Mobile (Ala.) Faith Academy. Sellers went public with his decision at just after 7 p.m., becoming the Razorbacks' 15th verbal pledge of the cycle.

Sellers, 6-5, 240, chose Arkansas over other notable offers from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Nebraska. He was offered by assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Scott Fountain on May 11 and returned last Friday for the start of his 48-hour visit. Sellers is the Hogs' second commitment of the day, joining wide receiver Antonio Jordan of Warren (Ark.).

"It felt like a good fit for me," Sellers said. "A family fit."

"It went good," Sellers said of the visit. I feel like I really like it up here. I like the campus and coaches.

"It's more than I was expecting up here. I thought it was going to be more empty up here, but there's actually a lot of stuff up here."

While Fountain is credited for extending the offer, Sellers is also being recruited by defensive line coach Deke Adams, who has gained verbal pledges from Keiundre Johnson, Caleb Bell, and JaQuentin Madison all since June 16.

"Coach Adams is a real nice guy," Sellers said. "He keeps it real. He will tell you the truth not just what you want to hear. I feel like he really cares for me as a player and person. It helps me become a better player and person."

247Sports gives Sellers a three-star ranking and considers him the 92nd edge rusher in the country and the 46th overall prospect in Alabama for the Class of 2025. The industry-generated Composite rankings have Sellers significantly higher, as the 50th edge rusher in the land and 26th overall in his home state.

With the addition of Sellers, the Razorbacks moved past Missouri and Kentucky for 30th nationally and 12th in the SEC team recruiting rankings.

Arkansas' 14 other commitments in the 2025 class include Jordan and seven others on the offensive side in three-star quarterback Grayson Wilson of Conway (Ark.), three-star athlete Quentin Murphy of Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview, three-star running back Markeylin Batton of Atlanta (Texas), three-star wide receiver Kamare Williams of West Palm Beach (Fla.) Central, three-star offensive lineman Connor Howes of St.

Arkansas defensive line coach Deke Adams has reeled in another commitment for his unit, as three-star defensive end Trent Sellers announced his pledge to the Razorbacks on Sunday evening.

Sellers was one of several recruits on hand for an official visit in Fayetteville, which helped him make up his mind to join the Razorbacks’ class.

Arkansas was one of several SEC teams working to gain the Mobile, Alabama, native’s commitment. He chose the Razorbacks over offers from Mississippi State and Ole Miss, as well as Nebraska and many others.

With Sellers’ commitment, Arkansas is now up to 15 total in the class and he is the fourth defensive lineman to join the fold.

For Faith Academy in Mobile last season, Sellers made 69 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss and five sacks.
