64 was a perfectly good number. If they turn even more double digit seeds into play in games it is eventually going to cause a dip in Cinderella runs because those teams are going to have to win 3 in a row to make the Sweet 16.

I tried one, and it was really good.

NC State and UCLA disagree.

I think they got hot at the right time. So you're probably more likely to see a hot 11-12 seed go deep. So far, the 13-16s have benefited from guys getting a covid year. We'll see how it shakes out after those guys are all gone.

I mean, it's objectively harder to win 3 games in a row than 2 games in a row against equal competition. There will always be exceptions, but continuing to expand the field is absolutely going to make it harder for a double digit seed to go on a run by making them play more games. Hot or not, more games in a single elimination tournament just means more opportunities to get knocked out.

Speculation is that the new assistant will come from the Lakers' staff. I have no idea who. Just what's being posted by an individual who has excellent contacts.

DeMarre Carroll is from Birmingham. And they've got a couple guys that spent time as video coordinators in the NBA, like Schuyler Rimmer and Zach Peterson. And we know Oats loves a film junkie. Phil Handy sounds interesting too.

I'm not sure if it was here or on BOL, but he's the reason why Mallete is gonna wear #95

Explains why Oats likes him.
