Alabama shoots the lights out today and wins by 15-20. Kinda their MO in the 2nd round.

Unfortunately with all the MSU fans there, if St. Mary’s gets momentum the crowd will be behind them for the upset. I don’t have a great feeling about this one, but if we win it, I will view this season as a success regardless of what happens going forward.

Sometimes you outperform your seeding, sometimes you modestly underperform your seeding, depends on matchups, health, and if the team is playing well towards the end of the year. You mainly want to avoid serious underperformance and give yourself a chance each year to break through. A win today does that IMO

I’m hoping Grant starts tonight and is mostly healthy. We need his rebounding and length around the basket.

Also hoping Philon can get back going. He only took two shots the whole game against RMU. He’s our most important guard in this tournament because he’s the catalyst of this offense. He can get Sears open looks and get Cliff good looks. Holloway needs to see a few fall also.

Clean the glass and run, do not let Saint Mary set the pace in this game

i always have reservations about games, especially NCAA tournament games.
We really need to show we are worthy of even a #1 seed today. The crowd won't necessarily be for St. Mary's, but they'll definitely be rooting for the upset.
I don't think state of Ohio fans are too fond of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

I get the feeling that this will be a matchup of our tempo vs their rebounding. That being said, tempo means nothing if we are not making shots. Also, getting them in some early foul trouble would be huge.

Consistently getting out of the first weekend is a goal for great programs. Anything is possible once you get past NCAAT Committee manufactured seedcraft. They’ve wanted us to have this miserable matchup for us each of the last two years. Kinda like how they setup Wisconsin with a definitely not 6 seed on the other side of our bracket. They’re trying to give Duke a layup to the Final Four for the ratings.

I had to Google it.

I literally never heard of this school before this tourney match-up.

The only time you ever hear about this school is during March Madness.

In this tournament, we have a lot of St. and Mary's

- St. John
- St. Francis
- St. Mary
- Mount St. Mary

St Mary’s is located in the suburbs of San Francisco Bay Area. Moraga to be specific.

I see Florida is having a little trouble with UConn’s physicality.

UF getting out-rebounded was not something I saw coming.

Wish we had seen this version of UF that misses shots sometimes.
