Owens won't last long at RT. I like Randolph as blocking TE.

I’m told that’s correct. Owens at RT. I believe that is his natural position if I remember correctly.

Owens won’t be a disaster but I’d be pretty surprised if it wasn’t Latham by game 4 at the latest. Ceiling is too high on that young man, he just has to put it together in terms of consistency and knowledge. Only way to keep him off the field would be if Randolph was just a breakout stud and obviously that hasn’t happened.

I posted snippets. That’s perfectly fine here. This thread has been deleted In years past for people posting whole articles and posts of paid info. But you know that.

Anderson was one of my favorite players last season and can not wait to see him with a year under his belt.

quote:

According to Dr. Matt Rhea, the Crimson Tide's director of sports science, Anderson has reached 20 mph on GPS while running in practice. Even more impressive, Anderson is the fastest player on the team going from a standstill to five yards, at 10.7 mph. That's nearly as quick out of the gates as former Crimson Tide receiver Jaylen Waddle, who was clocked at 11.2 mph at five yards last year.

When an Edge player is compared to Waddle - that player is special

The truth… OL could be different as games goes along. Look for the most consistent line to be LT Neal, LG Cohen, C Dalcourt, RG Ekiyor. RT Owens

I really like our left side run wise now that Dalcourt is the starting center. The Dalcourt film,
coming out of high school was very impressive.
The kid Ekiyor has a good possibilty of being a day one first round pick by season end.
I would prefer Owens tried at RT rather then staying at center. As Ownes is more fin-nest than power type player. When we gave him his first shot at center against duke he was just to slow coming out of the snap position. Now being halfway up it should benefit him.Dont get me wrong he stepped up in the playoff.
But based on opponent Miami DT has a quick first step and 71,70 & 55 can match up better.

Latham should be starting today. Forget game four. He's a better player at right tackle than Owens or Randolph, even though both of them will be key back ups.

Growing pains for sure but Latham has struggled a bit. Be curious to see if they go with Randolph to start the year.. Sounds like it might be the plan

If he is smart and has the desire to be great then he can become Legend.

We wait.

I am on record as calling Dalcourt my sleeper pick from his class but was beginning to second guess that . Hope he works out. His HS film was impressive to me

Does he know the assignments? Thats the most important thing. Cant have bust with a young qb.
