Yeah it’s disappointing but it’s also understandable. He’s got a big arm and a team can take him and try to develop him in low stakes competition where wins and losses aren’t the primary concern.
Vaughn couldn’t afford to run him out there just to get innings when he can’t consistently throw strikes because he’s trying to win games.

Oh yea I totally get it why he didn’t pitch more . Just hated to see a guy with SEC type stuff not be more successful . He was like that character from Bull Durham

Day 2 of the MLB draft begins this afternoon. There’s a list the “best available “ on the MLB website and Gage is listed:

I would imagine that both Petrutz and George will come back. George especially could GREATLY increase his draft stock if he could figure out his command. He could go from a 12th round pick to a top 3 round pick with a few tweaks.
Petrutz may be a little iffy simply because I believe him getting drafted period was a miracle and he may be ready to go try.
