I thought that '87 team had a chance to win it all, but they ran into a Rick Pitino coached and Billy Donovan led red-hot Providence team.

That '87 team could absolutely have won the whole shebang. Didn't Providence make the Final 4 that year?

At any rate, I'm getting antsy with all these 2-seed and occasional 1-seed projections. It's WAAAAY too soon to be thinking like that.

Yes, Ellis (NOW) has a very confident and unaffected look about him. Just seems zoned in all the time.

Fify

And he's really coming along nicely. Glad he's been able to ease into a larger role, rather than be forced into it. Taking it slow had helped his confidence on offense.

Got to sign some bigs if we haven't I think for this to be a Final Four type squad next year.

The shooters will be there, but I wonder if Bruner comes back and you lose Reese too

Yes. They finally had a cold night shooting as the Syracuse zone gave them fits.

That Providence game was so hard to watch. Pretty sure they put 100+ on us that day. We had been playing really well ourselves until that game.

I'm kinda surprised that he still has LSU in the field at this point. Their resumé is pretty terrible. They look overmatched just about every time they face a quality opponent.

Since 95%+ of the contractor's employees on my project are working night shift this week, I'm really damn bored. And since I feel obligated to contribute more than exemplorary dick jokes, I figured I'd look up some stats.

How front heavy was our schedule? Let's look to KenPom for evidence...

SEC Schedule

1. Ole Miss - 65
2. Tennessee - 15
3. Florida - 28
4. Auburn -58
5. Kentucky - 55
6. Arkansas - 26
7. LSU - 41
8. Miss St - 70
9. Kentucky - 55

10. LSU - 41
11. Mizzou - 34
12. South Carolina - 74
13. Georgia - 89
14. Texas A&M - 123
15. Vandy - 132
16. Arkansas - 26
17. Miss St - 70
18. Auburn - 58

1st Half Avg.- 51.625
2nd Half Avg - 80.875

Played so far - 50.444
After playing Mizzou - 48.80
Remainder after Mizzou 95.333
Remainder of the schedule, without Arkansas incldued (remvoing an outlier) -109.2
Remainder of the schedule, without Arkansas and Vandy incldued (remvoing an outlier on each side) - 103.5

Very very few brackets have us below a 2-seed as well. Of the 45 bracketmatrix brackets that were released between the Oklahoma and LSU game, only 6 had us as a 3 or worse. And I think thats before Houston and Villanova took pretty bad losses and we beat a bubble team by 20

Who knows, maybe we go 7-1 down the stretch and have a 22-5 record going in to the SECT. Our NET, analystical rankings, record, and strength of schedule would have us sitting very pretty for a 1-seed

The Tiger Rant is a pretty good read right now. They're starting to figure out that Wade is just a shady used car salesman who kinda sucks at actual coaching

Last night it was funny. I figured they'd sleep on it and forget about it. But that places is even more angry this morning. They slept on it and double downed on their anger. Every thread is about Wade.

It's simple. They see us as biggest rival, their most hated opponent, even though we don't reciprocate their feelings, which makes them even madder and more hateful. And this year, they've not only lost to us in every game, but we've made them our bitch. We've treated them like a hate frick, and have debaucherized them. Now, no matter how long they've been in the shower, they still feel dirty.

Interesting to see the teams in the bubble. Props to Western Kentucky for stepping up.

They're Ken Pom #41 and Torvik #42. But yeah, their Q1 resume is shite. I think, they will lose against any team that emphasizes defensive effort. Their offense is basically street all, with no real direction. Oats suspending guys for a game after the metaphor cock off, completely changed the team dynamic and chemistry.

If you hold all players equally accountable, players respond to that. Wade letting Thomas shoot bad shots just because he's a good scorer, is the worst strategy possible. Because it pisses off their teammates. I'll never get mad seeing my team miss a good look. But if they are forcing it and taking highly contested shots, instead of finding someone who has a good look, my language will make a sailor blush.

Clemson and Stanford need just a few spots to get to Q1, and Western Kentucky is getting close to a W2. frickers need to keep it up, and that resume will definitely look like a 1 seed.

I'm pretty sure they got beat in the finals, but I don't remember by who. Our Elite Eight year, U Conn sent us home and THEY won it all, so our best teams were beaten by the best or next best.

If I had told y’all that in early February we’d be angrily playing the what-if game regarding a home loss to WKU, most would probably guess that it was because it has us on the wrong side of the bubble. Not because it’s keeping us from being ranked in the Top-5
