Former New Orleans Saints linebacker/defensive end Junior Galette has racked up quite a few traffic tickets...
quote:

The FOX 8 probe turned up a number of high-profile people who still owed the city of New Orleans money for parking offenses, including Galette, who accumulated "at least 113 tickets worth $22,395."

Galette provided no records of making restitution and reportedly threatened to sue FOX 8.

Overall, New Orleans is owed $135,002,518.56 in traffic camera ticket fees, which could help pay for goods and services throughout the city. However, it is tough to collect on the overdue fines in many cases, said New Orleans' Chief Administrative Officer Gilbert Montaño.

“I can’t anticipate money coming from these people that have chosen a whole different path in life and in their financial world,” Montaño said. “I don’t think we’ll ever see that money and that’s called a sunk cost.”

Was this due to parking on the bench or parking too far away from potential tackles?
