These NIL deals aren't written contracts?

Everything you hate about the NFL is now taking over college football.

Before all you macho men jump all over his arse about quitting on his team, think about this: would you continue working your job if the company you worked for failed to pay you what they promised you they would?

I didn't think so.

Exactly , If he had a chance to go to a top school like LSU, Alabama, Oregon. etc, who were going to set him up with a $750,000 NIL deal and UNLV comes in and offers $900,000 or 1 million NIL deal and then later decides , Oh we can't give you that money you were promised in the contract. Boom, I am leaving too.

So what if Bama comes to Nuss tomorrow and says hey we will offer you double to come to Alabama and Nuss agrees and decides to leave the team right away...that is cool?!? It isn't messed up for richer schools other than UNLV to wave cash at him during the season?

How do you know they aren't paying him what was promised? What if he is now demanding more since they are 3-0? What if you signed a contract with a company to make $100K a year and a quarter of the way into that contract you decide you want to make $125K. You approach the company and say "I want that raise effective immediately or I'm out." They say no way buddy you just signed for $100K for the year. Make it through this contract and we can discuss $125K. You would quit the job?!?

I'm not completely clear on what happened here but regardless it isn't good for college football. Will check back in the first time an LSU player decides he wants more money 3 games into the season and decides to call it quits.

I wonder if this is about money he was promised in order to get him to enroll or if it's about additional money that he wants. I wonder if other schools get this after their third game (when the redshirt limit has been reached)?

The story is out. He came to Odom yesterday and demanded 300k in NIL to stay. Odom said no.

Huh...so got his name out there and now doesn't want to get hurt. Fans won't forget the schools that go after a guy like this. Bad look.

Hard not to see this coming, so glad I started my cfb detox yrs ago.

That's not what happened. He demanded 300k from Odom yesterday and Odom said no. You don't know what you're talking about.

That is not what his statement indicates. Right now it is he said / she said, unless you have documented evidence of his demand of Odom.

So, Stinger.... you must have documented evidence that Sluka is not being paid what was promised I presume. As far as I see, there is absolutely no documented evidence provided that supports one side or the other. Sorry but vague statements on twitter are not documented evidence.
