Charles Barkley Reacts To NCAA's Punishment For Auburn
© Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports
Auburn alum Charles Barkley joined ESPN’s broadcast for Saturday'’s matchup between No. 18 Auburn and Nebraska. While on air, he ripped the league for it’s drawn-out investigation and punishments given out to the Tigers this week...
quote:

“Anytime something takes four years, they suck at what they’re doing,” the NBA on TNT host said. “Let’s get that out of the way.”

“The NCAA’s got to do a much better job,” Barkley added. “But, listen, we’re going to move forward. We’ve got our two games and then we’ll have our coach back.”

“I love Bruce. And, listen, I love Chuck Person,” he said. “I want him to know that. He made a mistake. I don’t hold that — there’s no perfect person out here.”

Dear Lord. They got what amounted to a talking to. U should be thankful the ncaa sux now. 20 years ago you wouldn't have a coach and your team would be allowed 6 scholarships.

That is not true. They had 2 players miss an entire seasonn one a season and a half. Post season ban already enforced. Recruiti g restrictions and limited recruiting visits already enforced. A lot of things have already been enforced or self imposed already. Also, the ever present and always lingering ncaa black cloud.

And twenty years ago Bama football would've gotten checked with all of Sabans NFL players very open about their happenings during college.

Shut up Charles. Pearl is the biggest cheater in sports. What can I say, AU has been caught cheating more than any other SEC school and stripped of shite multiple times. No surprise they have Pearl for a coach.

He got paid to go to Auburn and has no problems with players being paid under the table. He's basically said so multiple times.
