Four-star Crimson Tide defensive tackle signee Kendell "Hulk" Jones will not enroll at Alabama after he failed to qualify academically.

The 6-foot-5, 375-pounder from Shoemaker High School in Killeen, Texas began junior college classes Monday. Per SECCountry.com:
quote:

He will have to spend two years in junior college and will be free to sign with any school upon graduation.

When Nick Saban spoke at SEC spring meetings last week, he said one player had not qualified yet, but did not provide any additional details.

Jones committed to Alabama in May 2015 and did not waver on his commitment after choosing the Crimson Tide over LSU, Texas A&M, Texas and Baylor. He only took one official visit during his recruitment, and that was to Alabama.

If you can't qualify for Bama, maybe academics isn't your thing. If you can spell IQ they'll let you into Bama.
