LSUballs says, Go to vicksburg
Thanks for the recommendation. We will make a trip over and try it. We actually were in Vicksburg both yesterday and today. Yesterday we even crossed the bridge into LA and visited my #1 favorite liquor store on earth, on the south side of I-20 at...

Went to the grocery store today and purchased ground chuck for making chili. On a foolish whim, I purchased a box of Wick Fowler's Chili Mix. I mad it exactly to the box instructions and it was awful. I began altering it with additions (Chili powder, cumin, oregano, chocolate, garlic powder, salt, b...

I live in Clinton and drive past MC every day. That PhD is not in my Sunday School Class, but the sanctuary is very big, and he might be a back row Baptist. There is a fact you guys can use when you play trivial pursuit at the bar Friday Night. Here is another one for you. There are no crawfi...
There are usually one or two beside the road BBQ places that do a very good job with limited visual appeal. I had a friend in Jackson years back who knocked the ball out of the park every day. He had a big (huge) smoker under a metal roof beside a Mennonite built storage building and a picnic tab...

Years back, I got one in Oklahoma on a toll road. When you entered, it time stamped your card (IBM Card). You had to present the card to exit and pay your toll. When the guy popped the card into the machine, it read out my toll for the 70 miles or so I was on the road, and a ticket for speeding. ...

We were visiting my mom (96) and had multiple folks to please. Mom wanted fried catfish and it was her day, so Little Dooey's having pretty good fried fish made it a good choice. I had the smoked pulled pork salad plate and ate too much. Made for a long drive home tonight....

An old Union rule: "Always shite on the company's time. Never on your time." I have always wished I had served a stint as a disc Jockey. I grew up during the golden age of music. Sitting in a dimly lit room in the middle of the night playing Blues Magoos stuff, She Loves You Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, an...
