Texas and Oklahoma add 7 more but I don't think ones before the 80s should count. Participation was low for the first 30 years of the sport with only a handful of schools putting any budget into it or even recruiting. ...

Only two teams ever with a record of 15-15 hosted a regional and both won their conference tournament. No one worse than that has ever hosted....
