re: Why would a depth limited team like LSU start an ACE against a lower seeded team?

It would be nice if we pitched Jump vs Wofford and we're able to get 9 innings out of him, or 7 and use a garbage arm to close it out....

I meant ole miss, but my point still stands. We allowed like 10 runs per game in sec game 3s....

Our game 3 wholesale pitching has been miserable all year. We have been beaten, blown out, run ruled, or given up 10+ points against every team we didn't start our Friday or staturday starter. UNC is as good as gleorgia offensively and better at pitching. The only game 3 we won was against aTm that ...

That's my point.
You flip a coin to have a chance of winning your regional is you pitch down to wofford.
Whereas you are exponentially more likely to win 2 games then get curb stomped by UNC if you play your ace in game 1...

I'm not acting like they aren't going to get hits against average pitching. Statistically they are one of the best offenses in the country, albeit against poor competition. UNC on the otherhand is statistically just as good, against MUCH better competition.
It doesn't matter if you win games 1 an...

I am using my head.
The question is extremely simple.
Is LSU's day 3 group good enough to beat UNC's day 4 group in game 2?
What if UNC doesn't use their friday starters against the 4 seed?
Then could our 3s beat their 3s?
They are a better offense than us, with similar pitching. I pe...

Reason 1- How does using your day 3 pitching lineup on day 1 hurt your bullpen? You are still using the same arms, maybe less arms since you are banking on the ability of your bullpen to beat an objectively worse team in fewer pitches than would be needed to close out a team like UNC.
Reason 2- T...

I understand alot of people have beating this topic to death. I'm also not claiming to be a baseball expert, I'm most definitely not.
So like the title, here's my question: Why would a team that only has 2 days of starting quality pitchers (LSU) start one of their 2 game changing pitchers against...

They absolutely do look at recruiting rankings. After nearly 25 years of recruiting ranking data, draft data, and all pro data. These recruiting services have proven they, usually, very accurate at determining a players ceiling. Obviously there are busts from time to time, but they are the outliers....

re: Coach Kelly says they aren’t going to buy players.

It would be unconstitutional. That's why NIL exists in the first place. Unless college athletes are considered employees and paid at least minimum wage and meet all minimum federal larbor law requisites, then a governing body is not constitutionally allowed to regulate how much money a player can ma...

Kelly is the 8th highest paid coach. Tell me how many head coaches paid more than him deserve more money than him? I can count 2.
1) Kirby Smart
2x national title, national runner up
2) Dabo Swinney
2x national title, 2x CFP runner up, 2x CFP semi-finalist
3) Kalen DeBoer

We are out of pitchers against probably the best offense in the country, it's pretty simple. Its happened almost every game 3 this year. Are we watching the same game?...
re: Underwood and Berry 7 on 7 highlights

Harlem Berry is beyond incredible. He's the true 5 star #1 ranked RUNNING BACK that may also be the best RECIEVER in this class. His separation ability is like Justin Jefferson and his horizontal footwork is soul stealing, he catches literally everything thrown his way regardless of catch difficulty...

We don't know what's going on behind the scenes. We also don't know what kinda money is being offered. What I do know is LSU is more than capable of offering a competitive NIL package on top of having 2 of the best D-line coaches in the country, and having a roster with a guaranteed starting DT spot...
