re: Tuscaloosa trip report
Posted by kczoutiger on 10/28/24 at 11:08 am
Had a fun time as well in Tuscaloosa, game day atmosphere and tailgating was awesome. Stadium was huge. Was a bummer that Cook got hurt and we had whatever we can call that showing with the backup. Campus was very nice. Was glad Mizzou fans showed out....
re: Updated SEC Field Surfaces
Posted by kczoutiger on 10/21/24 at 8:34 am
The field has never been a problem, but the camera angles are the worst. No idea why they decide to go so low, and it’s only been an issue since joining the SEC for the ESPN broadcasts. The CBS broadcasts were great and no idea why they don’t do that higher angle permanently. ...

Since Pinkel left:
2016: @West Virginia
2017: Purdue
2018: @Purdue, Memphis
2019: West Virginia
2020: All SEC
2021: @BC
2022: @kSU
2023: kSU, Memphis in STL
2024: BC
I'm not saying its murders row, but its not awful. For those that are complaining, who should we play? ...

Iowa refuses to play Mizzou noncon. They have the Iowa St game and haven't played another p5 school noncon since 2015. I know that series was supposed to played when Pinkel took over, but for some reason got voided. ...

We had a pretty incompetent AD in Sterk that wasn't really trying to build the football program. He "resigned" after firing Odom and tried to hire Blake Anderson. BOC stepped in and took over until DRF.
The Mizzou vs ku and illini series make sense for Mizzou. Not sure why that schedule is such ...
re: A&M fans, thoughts on the upcoming game?
Posted by kczoutiger on 9/29/24 at 11:31 am
A&M pass rush is going to be the best we have seen so far this season, our line is decent but much better run blocking. Our offense hasn’t fully clicked yet.
We have a faced a few mobile and already, interesting to see how Batoon wrinkles in what how we approached BC. Worried about our secondary ...
re: Why is the narrative that Texas has an easy schedule?
Posted by kczoutiger on 9/25/24 at 7:24 pm
Mizzou, Ole Miss, and Texas comparatively have the "easiest" SEC schedules.
Oklahoma has tough draw. But I don't want to hear it. Mizzou's first year in the SEC was the toughest schedule I think Mizzou had since the 70's. They played 5 top 10 SEC teams, including NC Bama, Vandy won 9 games that ...
re: Does the new playoff system change the depth of your fanaticism?
Posted by kczoutiger on 9/25/24 at 11:05 am
I don’t think it changes the fanaticism, but I do agree that every big game doesn’t mean as much since teams have now built in mulligans. Comparing now to the past is just not something you cans do anymore with the new setup.
For the non blue bloods I do like the setup though. Probably needs to ...

re: The SEC is fricked: Gruden to Florida?
Posted by kczoutiger on 9/18/24 at 11:46 am
Gruden is good coach. And I think he can create a competitive roster in NIL funding etc. He will need a really good college coaching staff. If he tries to come in and implement his NFL style, it won't work. I just don't see him coming in and making a big splash in the SEC right away. ...

re: Worst coach firing: Whom did you fire that then had success somewhere else?
Posted by kczoutiger on 9/4/24 at 11:49 am
Devine and Broyles is pretty much the list that had great success elsewhere even though they weren't technically fired.
Warren Powers had a down year in 1984 but probably shouldn't have been fired that started the abyss of Mizzou football for a decade+.
Barry Odom as found early success at U...

Why do you think Cook is gonna have the most sacks/fumbles. OL takes a step back? He didn't have an issue this past season with turnovers, and OL just had 2 sacks a game.
