If this NCAA were the NCAA 20 years ago Texas would lose 25 scholarships, have 2 year postseason ban and restrict coaches that could recruit to 3 until next year. The NCAA hasn't penalized anybody since 2010.

Texas needs to face consequences. The man in me is thinking, "shut up kid (however he was impaired at the time". The adult in me wants the kid to face punishments and correction along with the other kids doing it.

I know the NCAA is lacking in a pair of balls, but if Texas isn’t punished for recruiting violations on this, then the NCAA needs to just fold up shop.

One would think conferences would have penalties for this kind of behavior too. This doesn't come off as a one off rogue player doing his own thing, but something that was done during his own recruitment. To steal from the left toilet paper word of the day...dare I say...a "systemic" issue.

Also seems like something parents could speak to a lawyer about. A utx "representative" putting their kid in danger. I know it happens all the time, but doesn't get busted all the time.
