I hope Kirby picks one off from somebody else's roster. It's dog eat dog and hopefully Georgia has the funds to play that game.

I'm not a fan of taking portal players just to do it. If we assume that we retrain

Lovett
RaRa
Colbie Young
dillon bell
Arian smith

who will get the most of the work, along with tuggle, sacovie, and the USC transfer, that's plenty deep enough IMO. If we lose some of the bench players that won't ever play anyway I don't really want to spend any money to replace them

I think this is a problem due to being very deep with talent

We frequently lose wide receivers for part or most of the year. We have 12 on scholarship right now, compared to 13 last year. The least we've had recently was 10 in 2021, and that year we heavily depended on freshmen and guys playing while hurt (and a freshman TE) due to injuries. With the extended playoff, 10 or below is cutting it thin, IMO

We can’t lose Anthony Evans either. I think he’s got it.

He’s not going anywhere.

This implies kirby has done something wrong. If AP either 1)wants to start which he obviously won't here, or 2)has a hand out asking for way too much money, what is Kirby supposed to do exactly?

Yeah. When you put it that way I have to agree. Impossible to hoard players like Saban did with the portal and NIL.

Brooks Austin has a couple of long videos up doing a play by play analysis of Gday (The Film Guy on youtube). I don't take everything he says as gospel truth, but it's interesting commentary. He has a lot of positive things to say, very positive about Anthony Evans, Mykel Williams and Daylen Everette among others. He also suggested that #55 may need more conditioning work and occasionally got pushed around more than you'd expect for a man that size. I'm sure our OL will do that to a lot of DL, but it was something I noticed too.

When we finally caught Bama it was because we could finally match depth. Now, depth is lost and matched each year with portal.

Like basketball, there will be some sneaky teams do well (Washington, Louisville, TCU) that have a good QB and being back a bunch of Senior 2-3 stars.

Some of you were looking for the full game, and it finally did make its way to YouTube. It's been up for awhile, so many of you likely have already found it, but for those interested, here's the link to the full game:
