who gave up

To be fair, I personally wasn’t expecting Ole Miss to turn down their bid

Nevertheless, the season had its up and downs. I still question White even after these games on his defensive scheme. I hate it and it gives up way too many open shots. I can for sure say we’re improving and headed in the right direction after what I’ve seen this postseason. They’re getting better and that’s all that matters.

Gonna be a tough game. But once again, it’s a quality opponent/brand with a young up and coming coach. Seaton Hall beat UCONN. That alone should have been good enough to make the NCAAT. This game is HUGE for the program. Go Dawgs!

Didn’t we beat Seton Hall in the regular season within the last several years?

Yes… beat the shite out of them at home a few years ago. They’re obviously much better now than they were then. They also hired the St. Peter’s coach… the 15 seed that upset UK and went on a run.

I watched abotu 2 minutes of them yesterday and they looked good, but one thing I notcied was their gym was pretty small looking and close quarters, almost like a HS or cameron indoor. I can imagine that being a massive home court advantage, especially since as the 1 seed they haven't gone on the road in the NIT yet. I didn't realize they'd beaten uconn as you said, so I checked out their schedule and it's about what you'd expect; great at home and iffy away. Some of the notable contests:

-First half of the year mostly beat who they should and lost to some teams you might expect them to.
-They did beat uconn at home which is one of the better wins on the year
-From what I can tell they only played 2 true road games prior to January and they lost both by an average of 19 points. One of them was to the Xavier team we jsut beat
-Conference play kept hte same trend. Beat a lot of teams at home including some good ones (marquette, creighton) but struggled on the road.
-They beat MU at home by 3 but lost to them on the road by 18. They beat Creighton at home by 3 in 3OT but lost to them on the road by 21. They beat Uconn at home by 15 but lost to them on th road by 30.
-Then as the 1 seed they've gotten 3 home games against overmatched team.

Honestly I feel a lot better about this game after looking at their schedule. They are, VERY clearly, a different team away from home, and they haven't played away from home in a while. Meanwhile we've beaten the 1 and 2 seeds, both on their home court, in the last 2 games.

Those might end up being 3 of the 5 best teams in the country. A lot of teams would get smoked on the road against them. Creighton nuked UConn at home, too.

Seton Hall and St. John's should have been in the tournament. The Big East was criminally underrated this year.

Yeah you're right about that. Beating those 3 teams in any venue is a lot to crow about. I was more so pointing out that they fare MUCH better at home than away, alhtough that's not really groundbreaking or unique to them. It sure makes me glad we aren't playing them in their gym though lol

It’s crazy Seaton Hall is not in the NCAAT. Those wins are impressive. But as you said, away from that little shoe box, they’re a different team. It should be a good game.

That gym is their on campus facility. They play most of their home games at the Prudential Center in Newark (where the NHL Devils play). Only played on campus because it’s the NIT.

Yea, they pack that shite too. They always have really good crowds. Their home gym on campus is basically for practice it’s like the equivalent of Wyoming’s home football arena

Hill simply shouldn’t ever shoot the ball again. Play your defense and unless you have a wide open layup, pass the ball and don’t touch it again
