Well I'd rather not lose the bowl so I kind of care.

I don't think he's interested in being a college OC.

Duke director of football sports performance David Feeley has informed Duke's players that he will be following Mike Elko to Texas A&M, @GigEm247 has learned

quote:

Former Duke head coach Mike Elko is headed to College Station and he's bringing a highly regarded strength and conditioning coach with him from Durham. Duke Director of Football Sports Performance David Feeley has informed Duke's players that he will be following Elko to Aggieland.

Feeley came to Duke from Miami in January 2022 and is given a lot of credit behind the scenes in terms of the Blue Devils' development as a program from a three win team in 2021 to a nine win outfit in 2022. One person indicated that they went from being performers to athletes under Feeley via his system. They lifted far more than they did under the previous regime and transfers noted that warm ups were harder than the entire workouts they did at their previous programs.

Feeley was with the Hurricanes while they finished with a 21-15 record, including three bowl invitations and a final ranking in the 2020 Associated Press top-25. He helped design programs which emphasized availability over the course of an entire season and was considered to be very much into mobility and injury prevention. As a result, it was reported that no plays were missed due to soft tissue injuries over the course of his three seasons which resulted in record player availability. In addition, the Hurricanes also outgained and outscored opponents two-to-one in yardage and points during the fourth quarter of the 2021 season.

Feeley and his strength group were named the runner-up for the NFL Play Smart Play Safe grant, in partnership with the Miami Dolphins. This initiative took into account the success of Miami’s strength and conditioning program’s via the primary prevention of hamstring injuries.

Craig and Petrino are officially out. Addazio has been out since he got here but technically not yet. Regardless I don’t see any offensive staff being retained

I’m not convinced Kingsbury is any good. JFF did a lot for that offense after plays broke down and his scrambling ability had defenses playing contain.

The 2012 offense was absolutely stacked. JFF, Swope, Evans, and the tanks at O-line. They would have made just about any coach or OC look good…

Except Jimbo.

His offenses did put up a lot of points at Tech and he was pretty good at identifying good to great QBs.

Was he still calling plays there though or did he give up play calling like Holgorsen did once he was an HC at WVU? I know Elko's OC at Duke was KK's OC his final year at Tech and generally put up big numbers.

KK's undoing as an HC was that his teams never could stop anyone on defense. Some of that may have been due to KK's style of offense but it's not like Tech was ever going to be getting a ton of defensive studs either.

Several people have said LSU was serious, many LSU insiders deny it, we probably never will know the whole truth.

I don’t believe we were serious, though im sure Woodward and Fisher didn’t mind the speculation as Woodward gets a free smokescreen and Jimbo gets to angle for a raise.

Jimbo apparently stayed in BR overnight after the ‘21 game for personal reasons and i think that added some fuel to the speculation. Every local person was sure it was either Riley or Napier.

Blackwell might stay as he does have some Texas ties and was only here this year after coaching big numbers with Judkins and the other kid at Ole Miss.

I’m not convinced it was a bluff by Jimbo but if a guy was willing to leave you after finishing top 5 at a very good situation and having been given the largest deal ever a few years ago then say adios. I’d actually like a coach to leave us for a change, much better than paying them $75M to go away. Be confident you can find somebody else.

Moving forward I only wanna fight to keep a coach if he wins a championship. Until a coach proves he can do it I’m not worried about them

Late first half td for Oregon but overall a good first half for us. If they lose the brinks truck needs to be sitting in front of Will Steins house when he gets home

Come on down Will.

I’ve seen people talk on twitter. Anyone else reporting he’s a candidate?
