Don’t like it but always hope for the best

My interest in CFB is already at an all time low due to the shitty season and also the volume of transfers in the sport. The nonstop chaos from the transfer portal for all teams has just left me not caring at all for the off-season.

the experiment will be over within two years. During those two years, one of two things happen: 1: We are lights out on offense and Petrino gets a HC gig. 2: we are still anemic on offense and Jimbo cuts him loose or Jimbo is shown the door.

It's going to be entertaining either way, that's for sure

Have some new guys on the Ags board now. Let's get your feelings about Petrino on record before game 1.

FWIW... I still feel exactly the way I did back in January.

Lobot was pretty special. But he was our Lobot.

I miss him too. He was fun to interact with on here

Excuse my ignorance but what happened to him? He just disappeared. Again I apologize if it was something serious but I can’t remember what happened

I think the rant becoming such a cesspool, combined with them banning him occasionally on the politics board made him find other things to do with his time

Can’t blame him for that. I’m on here probably more than I should be

Politics board seems like it’s not good for anyone

Petrino plus Weigman should make for some offensive fireworks. Can the OL just be decent? If so, may have something special but the schedule is hard this year.

I thought he got banned, but maybe not. I posted for him twice on reinstatement threads with no response.

Every now and then a qb will come along who supersedes the OC. Burrow was one such qb. Weigman very well could be that qb for the Aggies. Orgeron got an immediate raise after our natty. He didn't suddenly become a better coach. Much like Jimbo won't be a better coach if yall win 11 games. They are what they are. A talented qb however, can change the optics in an instant. Personally, I think Weigman is that guy for the Aggies.

Possibly, but I don't recall seeing it. I read pretty much everything on our board and I think I'd remember that. Lobot's last posts were on 4/27/22. They gave no indication he was leaving, but I didn't scroll back to see earlier posts. I miss the Count's stats. Hope he's okay!

Today is the day we start to really see where the season can go. 35+ points on the road at Miami. Come on Ags make it happen.

Welp Petrino outlasted Fisher, which I don't think anyone here predicted.

Been a pretty uneventful tenure for BP so far, wonder if he has any tricks up his sleeve for LSU

Petrino comes and goes with nary a peep. A little disappointed tbh we were promised drama

Absolutely disappointing, I had really hoped he would set the office on fire, but if he had done that we would still have Fisher, and I think, moving on was the thing to do after last season

Yeah for all the “there will be fist fights on the sidelines between him and Jimbo” handwringing on the rant, we didn’t get much drama.

I don’t really know how to chalk his tenure up here. We did improve slightly on offense compared to last year, not that it’s a hard feat to accomplish. But it seems he was just calling plays out of Jimbo’s playbook instead of installing his own offense.

It will be interesting to see how Arky looks offensively next year where he will get the true reins to the offense. Of course they don’t really have great players so he may not be able to do much, but if he’s as good of a coach as people think he is, he will adapt to the talent and players they have and figure something out. Unlike jimbo’s method of shoving a round peg in a square hole until it works (or fails spectacularly).
