As long as the pitching develops, I agree.

We need a couple starters to really step to the forefront who can anchor our staff. If that happens this is a legitimate title contender. Most talented position player group I think we’ve had in my time following A&M baseball.

The chance in football practice fields greatly improves the view from Olsen.

Josh Kesel hired as S&C Coach. He founded/ran Premier Pitching Performance for the last 9 years. Between him and Max Wiener, we should be at the forefront of pitching improvement. Now we just gotta get the pitching lab up and running. I think phase 1 should start after the season.

I have to admit I really like the hires that Schloss is making. He knows pitching is a weakness, and he's trying to address it.

I get it, might as well talk about college baseball, since the Astros are trying to flush themselves down the toilet

You, sir, need to get it together.

There is never a bad time to talk baseball.

Astros aren't done just yet. Season is 162, not 157. Once you make the postseason, you start all over.

A key milestone that you need to achieve though, and my confidence is wavering

Fall Exhibition:

quote:

The Texas A&M Aggies took the field for the first of two fall exhibition games in advance of the 2024 season, blasting the HCU Huskies 20-2 on Friday night at Blue Bell Park.

Jim Schlossnagle's bunch tangled with the Huskies for 14 innings of exhibition play, using the bulk of the roster and 10 total pitchers on the night. In all, Texas A&M finished with 21 hits with three leaving the yard.

On the bump the Aggies did not allow a run until the Huskies tallied two in the ninth. Aggie pitchers totaled 17 punchouts with only five free passes allowed. Chris Cortez, Tanner Jones, Troy Wansing and Isaac Morton all pitched 2.0-inning shutout stints, picking up a combined 14 strikeouts and only two walks.

I think we'll play another exhibition soon.

Speaking of exhibitions, did we play UH yet?

We did. Seems like almost no one covered it too. Kendall did but it's behind a paywall. Here is the free part.

1. Texas A&M’s Gavin Grahovac looks like a future superstar

Grahovac was one of the top prep players not to sign and head to college thanks to his sky-high price tag. Well, it looks like the Aggies got an early Christmas present with his arrival. Grahovac, ranked 55th nationally by Prep Baseball last year, stands out physically at 6-foot-2,[…]

In 2025 conference schedules switch to 2 permanent rivals. We get tu and Lsu. Its one of the hardest draws, but the two we probably chose/wanted.
