Auburn was forced to fire Harsin midseason because he was forcing players (that didn't want to play for him) to burn their redshirts. He thought that little of his kids and of Auburn's program as HC. Go find those threads during the Harsin scandal: I was cheering on all of those meano rich boosters and ridiculing all of the Harsin jock sniffers.

My bet is both groups will have the same number of correct answers. Sorry but auburn fans don't know any better about this specific fact than some hobo spanking it under the bridge. They might get it in the ballpark but ballpark isn't good enough.

Just to get this straight I am just a no credibility Auburn fan even though I am fanatic enough to be here to discuss Auburn sports everyday for years now, but the random Bama fan that insists Harsin was handcuffed is just as much in the know and he is more than likely correct since I am just a random??

When a couple of high school coaches within a 100 mile radius of the Auburn campus said they'd never seen Harsin enter their doors (and he'd been at Auburn for 14 months), everyone knew he had not clue how to run and SEC program. What's more, his ego wouldn't allow him to listen and learn from his own staffers, many who had years of SEC recruiting experience. Derrick Mason, Will Friend, Mike Bobo, Carnell Williams, etc had years on the SEC recruiting trail and they knew how to recruit. Yet Harson with his "alpha-male" persona harped on accountability and hard work and couldn't bring himself to sell the Auburn program or his vision of football. Hell, in his 1st year at AU, he never darkened the doors of Thompson HS, or Carver HS, Montgomery Catholic who had some of the state's top talent that year.
