Damn right! They bring a lot of revenue and brand recognition.

We could boot Missouri and bring them in for 2025

I would, but I’m sure I’m not in the norm.

frick Notre Dame, hell no.

But I can make a list of "SEC teams" they can take with them to make a new conference if you want.

Notre Dame is the only team I could get excited about adding at this point.

Worth noting I was (and still am) excited about adding TX and OU…. I’m not for adding FSU or Clemson however.

No, but as a TN fan I miss playing them occasionally, but would rather keep it OOC.

And for the record, just adding good teams to a conference is dumb.

All conference records equal out to .500. It doesn't matter how good your teams are, that's always going to be the result.

Which is to say there is always going to be a limited amount of success. There can only be 1 conference champion every year etc. There is always going to be a Vanderbilt. Remove Vanderbilt, and a new basement team is going to take their place.

Take the 12 best teams in the country and put them in a single conference, and in 15 years one of them is going to be the Vanderbilt of the conference. Attendance will drop, nobody will spend NIL for losers.

Limited success, it's not optional.

The SEC as a conference will still have it's champion and sure that champion is likely going to be damn good and have a great chance to win the national championship. And with playoffs, multiple teams even. But I'm not a "SEC Fan". I'm a fan of a team in the SEC.

People running the show are short sighted and blinded by contract numbers.

On the bright side, it takes a few years for shite like that to happen, so should be good match ups for awhile.

Why not - large alum base, money, and they’d replace Texas and Oklahoma on the SECRant most ridiculed team.

When we genuinely become the Power-2 superconferences it won't matter. At that point, we will be signing up a ton of teams to fill everyone's Power 2 schedule. Notre Dame will be part of the football fodder.

Notre Dame needs to go save the ACC.

They need to take Penn State with them and that would be a pretty dang good conference.

Think about this.

Notre Dame
Penn State
Miami
Clem
Wvu
Vt
Pitt
Carolina
State
Duke
UVA
Gt
Louisville
Wake

I’d recommend leaving it if they let Notre Dame in.

Surest way to frick up the conference us have them anywhere near it. They’d insist on everything being done their way because they’re special.

If they asked, you don’t decline ND. They’re a big program, overrated yes, but they carry weight.

Notre Dame has a nest on the ground when it comes to football. Tv contract and plenty of money backing them.

The only reason I could see them changing is if quality teams quit scheduling them, which ain’t going to happen because they bring in attention and money.

They just don’t seem to fit.

FYI

This is a horrible place to ask a question like this. The opinion of the people who post here doesn't match what fans in real life think.

Every conference would want Notre Dame travel headaches be damned.
