Modern day translation, i'm committed but am still open to bags being dropped in NIL.
Great pickup though.

so it's not really a commitment then is it

It’s difficult to say when you claim your recruitment is 100% open after making a “commitment”.
Something tells me Carde doesn’t understand the meannng of commitment
I mean it’s nice to be the one getting his commitment but he basically said I am open to higher bidders. It’s a negotiating tool.

This is kind of the deal now. Nobody is truly committed anymore.
All of our biggest recruits last cycle, with the exception of Walker White and Joe Phillips, were flips from other schools.
In all likelihood, that could be the case this cycle too.
Don’t get too attached to anyone, and the later the commitment, probably the better outside of QB

With the Nike deal in the books, we now need Tim Apple to come on down and become our sugar daddy like Phil Knight.

Yep, it is the world of NIL recruiting.

Ohio State RB Coach explaining the obvious:
LINK
People hire recruiters to be RB coaches.
Thank God we finally got a recruiter and a RB coach.

Osman is a very good back, what about this Mills Knight out of TN his name is popping up a lot, whats the scoop.
This spot holding the kids do, it works both ways, we had a couple we took a commit from and then told them to look around last year, and Im sure there were some already on the roster that we "encouraged" to explore the portal. And yes it sucks, soon we will probably have signing bonuses, buyout clauses for signing bonuses if we want to flip, maybe offices and an admin so they can maximize their NIL

I want Osman 5x more than Alvin because we already have guys who have his skill set on the team. Osman and Knight are bruisers that we could use to truly punish a defense. I still want Alvin though.

It’s a two way street. Coaches tell players to get in the class and hold their spot before we move on to other players and spend our time there. Lot has changed.

Alvin reminds me of Zac Stacey that played for Vandy a few years ago.

Good for him! Who's next?
