If you can't do better than 5-7 and 6-6 your first 2 seasons I think the writing is on the wall though.

Not really. I mean look at this mess. Bad coaching period. This is not a well coached team at all.

What logic is there is wanting to keep a bad coach longer?

That never worked at Tennessee with all our recent failures and it won't work at Florida. Bad coaches don't magically become good.

Go out and pay big money for the right guy sooner than later. Thank god we found Heupel a diamond in the rough.

Yep, Heupel will be the one to go after.

Napier deserves 100% heat for tonight but no need to call for his head.

He lost to a walk on QB who was only playing b/c Utah's starter (recovering from ACL tear) and backup (lacerated liver) are hurt.

Y’all fired Mcelwain not even a full season after he had won the East two years in a row. Y’all fired Mullen a year after he won the east and the two years prior to that he had won 10 and 11 games.

I enjoy shitting on UF as much as anyone, but they really didn’t fire any coaches recently at a bad time at an all. You could argue they may not have hired some of them, sure, but Napier was a very hot name 2 years ago and a top 3 up and comer without a doubt. He may have been a bad choice to go from ULL or wherever to UF, and maybe needed stopping point in between. But he was going to be hired by a big time program that year

Yes they are. When Florida is done w/their HC they simply fire them and pay their buyout.

When Tennessee is done w/their HC they nuke their career, eat scholarship losses, and get the HC a show cause to avoid their payout.

Them wanting to fire Napier not a full game into his second year is exactly why they’re in the position they’re in

You are correct but firing Mullen was the right move. If Napier can keep recruiting the next coach will at least have a deck of cards to work with

They’re gonna have a lot of fun paying that 30 million dollar buyout.

Two years later I like where we are.

Napier actually gives a shite and is busting his arse to win.

It sure didn't look like it last night. I know he's gotten better on the recruiting trail since that first class, but that was far from a well coached team last night. That OL and parts of the defense looked absolutely lost out there at times. Then the costly penalties and awful play calls magnified their weaknesses.

I don't agree with firing him after the first game of his second year either, but it isn't that far of a stretch to start asking the questions. Strickland, the AD, needs a long hard look from his bosses as well if this was the best he could do for the Florida program.

Memories, pressed between the pages of my mind
Memories, sweetened through the ages just like wine
Quiet thoughts come floating down and settle softly to the ground
Like golden autumn leaves around my feet
I touched them and they burst apart with sweet memories
Sweet memories

I’m sorry we had fun with the Mike Price saga. That was wrong of us and I want to validate your bitch-arse feelings two decades later. Let the healing begin!

Harsin couldn’t recruit and guaranteed his AD’s firing. Billy still has some work to do

Billy (although I’m sure he is a stand up guy) can’t recruit (neither portal or HS), can’t coach, can’t whip the boosters to pony up much needed NIL money. He is absolutely out of his element and IT SHOWS. Being outside the Top 10 in Recruiting is completely unacceptable and just further confirms we’ve hired a Harsin/Frost type. He just can’t keep up.

With the holes on the roster and the tough schedule next year, I think anyone that follows Gators FB seriously knows the ***** storm to come in the 23’ season.

You thought the 2010’s were our darkest days…I think we’re barely scratching the surface of what’s to come. Temper your expectations and find another hobby— the glory days are behind

As a fan of a program who went from Top 10 program to mediocrity to dumpster after firing a once in a lifetime coach for banging a volleyball player and hiring her to be his assistant. All I can say is, this ride is going to suck. Find other hobbies or ways to occupy your Saturdays.

The pumpers are hilarious. We were terrible in ALL facets of the game. Offense was worse than last year as expected and the defense was atrocious. We let a 3rd and 4th string qb destroy us. If it wasn’t for them dropping a couple passes the score would have been much worse. There is no argument. This team is terrible and Billy needs to go.

Florida is going to have to lower expectations if they want to be good again.
