I don’t know who will win the West. But my gut says Bama might drop 2 games, and I think they will come in conference play. I don’t know who tho.

On paper it should come down to Bama or LSU. If the Petrino experiment works out at A&M they can make a run at it with the talent on their roster.

The Petrino hire will either go down as the biggest mistake or the biggest great hire this past off season. He can definitely run an offense, but will Jimbo let him and will their personalities pit them against each other. If they can hold it together for a season, and if defenses have not passed his offense A&M could definitely be a factor.

But, yes. I agree that the safest bet is Alabama and LSU with A&M as the dark horse.

I was pro-LSU for the longest time, because they return all that talent and will have a stout OL. BUT...I'm telling ya, all of the 'Saban-is-on-his-way-out' talk is gonna be the difference. That has done nothing but serve as a truckload of bulletin board material for this team and this coaching staff. They are gonna rally around the old man like never before to prove this narrative is wrong.
So...they will mop the floor with the Donghorns, and proceed to run the table all the way to the SECCG...where we'll be waiting for them.

I expect the west to be a very contested race. LSU, Bama and A&M all have the talent across the board. I think aggie has a turn around season this year, but Jimbo and Petrino's unholy marriage starts to unravel next year.

Auburn (will do better than expected)

I'm afraid of this as well. Auburn doesn't stay down very long and the media, even in Alabama, doesn't really say much about them so you never know what they have.

Bama may lose a game, but it won't be to Auburn this year

I think we are all hoping for an implosion. I'll be shocked if these two don't do something..... I'm sure there will be passive aggressive remarks in press conferences at a minimum.

Honestly I think he does way better than people expect him to outside of state fans, then at the end of the year all the same folks that hated on Arnett start the narrative he is too good to be at State..

I am going with Bama, Brian Kelly seems to shite the bed when it matters. Even if they beat Bama again, they will lose somewhere else.

Case in point: Home game vs. UT last year
