Rule 6.02 (b) says nothing like that. What are you talking about? The batter can leave at any time and it’s a ball or strike based on umpires call (rule 7.01b), AND, the batter is allowed to leave the box any time a defensive player attempts to make a play on a runner at any base (rule 7.01 (d.1....
