Who’s 7th? Looks like Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Georgia, and State are way out front 1-6. Is S Carolina not 7th?...

11 of 16 were over 100 years ago. Would like to see this list since 1980 or so....
Classy post. Sounds like LSU was a great host. I think this team has a shot to win a Championship. If they play like they did today and also at the SEC Championship, they can win it all....
A lot of upsets in the Regionals based on the rankings going into the week. There will be 30 teams make the finals, but these all appear on track to miss the cut: #3 Arizona State #7 Ole Miss #8 Arkansas #9 Washington #10 Alabama #19 Georgia #24 Oregon #25 Duke Half the Top 10 miss...
Auburn is now one of six programs to reach the NCAA Finals in at least 9 of the past 10 seasons. Vanderbilt, Texas, and Oklahoma have reached the finals in all 10 of the last 10 tournaments. Auburn, Oklahoma St, and Illinois have reached the Finals 9 times during the last 10 seasons. Arizona ...
Texas plays these teams:
1. Georgia Bulldogs 8. Oklahoma Sooners 9. Texas A&M Aggies 10. Kentucky Wildcats 13. Florida Gators 14. Arkansas Razorbacks 15. Mississippi State Bulldogs 16. Vanderbilt Commodores
Oklahoma plays these teams:
2. Texas Longhorns ...

It truly is a joke. How many 10-14 conference play teams have ever received a regional host spot? This has to be the first time....
You listed 85’ UT last because they beat #1 Auburn
No I listed ‘85 Tennessee at the bottom due to their relative lack of quality wins. Only solid wins on the season were against Final AP #9 Miami and #13 Alabama. Tennessee also had a relatively soft SEC schedule, playing 3 of ...
No offense to Florida fans but I would disagree with your statement. I don't care what the rules are now, they broke the rules as they were then and everybody else was (supposedly) playing under. Just because the things they did back then are now ok, doesn't mean we overlook them. They br...
Auburn won a national title in the late 50s when they were on probation.
The national title included an actual trophy, presented by the AP. Probation is completely irrelevant.
That UF team was one of the best in the SEC in the 80s, and they deserve the title
...

This requires a third thread, IMO...
To complete the requested exercise, here’s my go at it: 1. 1983 Auburn 2. 1980 Georgia 3. 1988 LSU 4. 1988 Auburn 5. 1982 Georgia 6. 1987 Auburn 7. 1989 Auburn 8. 1989 Alabama 9. 1989 Tennessee 10. 1981 Georgia 11. 1981 Alabama 12. 1986 LSU 13. 1985 Tennessee (Florida ‘84 was vaca...
But we are recruiting again after a 3 year hiatus and that will eventually pay dividends
True. Auburn’s 3-year rolling average in the On3 Team Recruiting Rankings by Year: 2011: #11 2012: #7 2013: #10 2014: #11 2015: #9 2016: #6 2017: #8 2018: #9 2019: #11 2...
In all fairness, there was another
Well, true. But they only had 12 seasons to try compared to Ole Miss having 32 seasons....
Does it bother you that Hugh Freeze inherited an Ole Miss team that was winless in the SEC and still had a better record in his 1st year at Ole Miss than he had in his first year at Auburn?
No. First off I had no clue what Freeze’s record was in his first season in Oxford. Second...
Well, you haven't hit the winning part of the upturn yet so can you really claim this?
When has Ole Miss hit the winning part of anything post segregation?...
3 touchdown loss at home to New Mexico st is probably one of the most insane scores of the last decade
I guess it could have been worse… like finishing an entire season without a win. Any SEC teams ever gone 0-11?...
I’ll never forget Bama losing to La Monroe…. And Northern Illinois… and Hawaii… and a Favre-less Southern Miss… and a UCF team that was barely D1… and Louisiana Tech…. Twice! shite happens. Programs have down periods. Thankfully we’re on our way back up....
Gumps are scared of what Freeze is capable of.
Auburn should be a bit more competitive this year, and the schedule does get a bit easier. I think we’re still a year away from really being competitive with the top four or five teams in the league....
Auburn’s program started the same year. Those West Coast teams were basically able to dominate the sport with very little competition from any other geographic region up through the 1990s From 1982-1999, UCLA made the WCWS 15 out of 18 seasons… Arizona and Fresno State each 12 times out of 18....
