That’s not the rule the rule from the book has been posted 100 times since it happened the runner has to interfere with the throw…..clearly that never happened....

One thing I would like is to have umpire press conferences where that home plate ump has to speak directly to the media/world on his reason for making or not making that call……I’d be all for that....

It’s a letter of law vs intent of law situation there and can go either way…..if you watch a lot of baseball you’ve seen that not called more than it’s called most likely.
Now somebody said earlier he was on the infield grass at one point which makes it a more egregious no call…..but based on tha...

Clearly that is not enforced 100% of the time….if that is a written rule.
It’s not even close to 100% actually....
the foul line and a line that is 3 feet to the foul side of that line.
Got the official paragraph on that one because it sure does get overlooked a helluva lot at all levels of ball I watch....
There is a running lane however
What is your opinion of where this might be….a 3in strip of white chalk?...

That I didn’t see in real time or on replay which does not mean it didn’t happen…..if the runner bowed out onto the infield grass then came back to the base were he crossed it then I’m surprised it wasn’t called either way…..that is an egregious no call of clearly altering the runner’s path to the b...

Again if the runner would have been closer to actually impacting the receipt of the ball by 1B then it may have been called……that may not be how it’s supposed to work but that’s how people work right or wrong.
One thing is for absolutely sure a good throw would have resulted in an out without int...
