Any of family members have sea legs? If not, I’d look for an operation that has catamarans or seakeeper onboard.
Also, if you’re looking for tuna, you will probably be doing some chunking so consider inviting couple of family members or close ones.

Professor Robbie at Gracie United Ascension was a former LSU cheerleader. That might be something your son could relate with. There’s also competitive class( Team Jucao) for kids looking to do tournaments. ...

I second Gracie United Ascension Team Jucao. Lil SI has been going for a couple years now. A lot of the kids are involved in other sports as well but are anchored in BJJ. Professor Robbie is a good dude and I definitely recommend giving it a shot, first weeks free.

I never bring my own setups outside my home turf, different areas call for different set ups. If I’m on a guided trip on my home turf( Venice), I’ll bring a rod. If I’m offshore , I might bring a jigging pole but I’ll put it back in truck if I don’t think that’s part of the gameplan. Yes I’ve been ...

Fiberglass shops, Reno is a good start. We removed the Leaning post and had one built. Thought it was great idea until we had to keep leaning in to get to the bottom, lol. Not to mention the shops only knew how to build those bulky commercial style lids. ...
