I'm assuming this is the storm that is supposed to track Eastward for the majority of the southeast in the next day or 2?

Extremely high risk. First such forecast since 2019.

It’s no joke… This is BAD.

Yes, SE is going to get in on the action, next few days are going to be rough. Tornado season this year has been pretty incredible and it’s only setting up for more.

PDS: particularly dangerous situation

The National Weather Service defined a PDS watch as wording used in rare situations when long-lived, strong and violent tornadoes are possible

Good luck to the nexus of the crisis and the origin of storms residents.

those monsters leaving Moore Oklahoma always head straight for us, and somewhere in the hills where fictional Billy Colman ran Old Dan and Little Ann, those hills break those storms up for us

knock on wood (just did)

We can't catch a break right now. The enhanced risk in in North Central OK. I live south of tulsa so hopefully all that shite stays north.

God bless brother

I don't know what towns in Western Oklahoma aim for you being south of Tulsa

For us, anything in the Tulsa range usually heads ENE to Neosho/Joplin

you all probably get stuff heading in from the north side of OKC

I spent 2 years in OKC for my post-doc fellowship.

Ice storms in the winter, tornados the rest of the year. Nature is constantly trying to kill you. Stay safe!

There’s no defeating Mother Nature. She does what she wants, whenever. I’m in south OKC metro. I’m always on edge. For the most part, storms that form out west rarely move east. It’s more ENE. But when they form in NE Texas into SW Oklahoma, that’s when the anxiety kicks in.

Apparently the setup isn’t supposed to be like April 27 where there were lines of storms and tornadoes everywhere. The storms today are supposed to be isolated. It could be a few, could be several. Just depends. But the ones that do form have the possibility of being dangerous.

Stay safe my fellow Okies.

Correct. Local weather here has us down for alert days both tomorrow and Wednesday due to the system.

It looks to be a long night. I’ve been lucky living in Yukon. Hope it continues. My cousin lost her house in Sulphur the other night. You just never know. Good luck and God bless to all my fellow Okies and anyone that will be affected by these tonight.

This is looking really bad for Oklahoma City metro. All kinds of storms popping off to the west and the weather parameters are awful in the Oklahoma City area.

250 mph winds reported at an airport near Bartlesville.. that’s a strong F4 if it holds up to be true
