The woe-is-me posts frequenting the site are nauseatingly exhausting.
We’ve got to give folks time to process the reality that these kids don’t care about their school & the games are strictly a payday.

My son’ll play SEC football and he’s been committed since before his Jr season. He very much wants to be on that team until he graduates or turns pro. Now, shite happens…having transfers available allows him to either move with the coordinator or follow an analyst if they get a coordinator position.

Young kids are more fans of individual players than we were at their age…but that’s something totally different (ESPN pushing Heisman all year, social media…IDK)

I wish there was no consensus national championship…I like the bowl tie-ins we had when I was at LSU (92-00). Seems like I’m in a small minority there, probably couldn’t even explain to my son why it was better (and have him understand) just because things are so different.

I went to two schools, Texas and Stanford. As a Texas fan, college football isn't remotely ruined.

As a Stanford fan, it's not ruined. It's just is tenuous and likely to go away, which sucks.

Being an independent contractor isn't the issue. Coming and going at the speed of light is again problematic.

If talent is your product, and not being able to obligate that product for the task at hand despite all the wealth a collective can dig deep down for is very problematic. And frankly, bad business.

Bad take- coming to Oxford every other year was a treat. A tradition for us going back to the Billy Brewer days. I’m sure it’ll come back- but I will miss it this year.

100% agree. At least for my taste.

I'll watch Bama games but won't invest much more of my time on cfb like I have over the past 20 years.

I'll watch more Braves and Broncos most likely.

There is nothing we can do about it. They really screwed with gameplay last year with the running clock and constant commercials and all we can do about it is pout.

Yeah, I get it. I've felt the same way about where it's headed but I think they'll eventually figure it all out and we'll have something we can enjoy.
...but I don't the NCAA will be involved with college football. They've shown how incompetent they are. SEC and b1g will have to sort this out.

Yes, agree and the Vols tell the NCAA what to do not the other way around. The rest of you need to rise up like we did. No one one controls us except Heupel and White ofcourse.

South Carolina doesn't play Georgia, Florida, or Tennessee. Yet we play Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M. Makes absolutely no sense.

Makes total sense.

Schedule makers in BHam are cocksuckers .... bitches and cucks.

More proof that bitches should have never been granted the Right to Vote.

BTW, yes .... two females, two males, one of the females in charge .... are the architects of these schedules and they did so with very little input from the ADs. She even told them last summer that they were welcome to ask but it wouldn't matter in the end. BHam was gonna do BHam.

.... and they did. And they will continue to do so while fans have no regionally emotional connection to many of these games, don't want to travel that far. Paying too much for tickets, soft drinks and shitty stadium food.

Nevermind, nothing will change.

And now, who gives a fat baby's butt anyways when, in fact, the players you used to love will now bail on your cuck fan arse and head to another school for an extra $100k on his NIL and the promise of some bleach blonde white chick blowing his pole five times a week including twice on Sunday if he has a good game the day before.

The game is ruined.

That’s how “the Bama’s” recruited high school kids for years…and when you were of no use to them they’d flush you out of the back door.

Get real.

Speaking of real, that is college football dude and always has been. Kids at every single college are being asked to get into the magic portal if they want to continue playing the game.

Such a lazy argument for getting your azz handed to you every year on the gridiron.

What is “consistently elite” in football is the question you still refuse to answer. You control that answer.

With the exception of Alabama and Texas on the schedule and the lack of SC and Vandy UGAs schedule looks a lot like it did most years before SEC Expansion. UGA did not play Alabama or Tennessee very often and still don't play Alabama often during the regular season. UGA s schedule is tough but only marginally tougher than normal (last season not withstanding). Historically the difference is Texas in Austin....otherwise it is a pretty typical schedule for UGA....playing Clemson early in the year was, once upon a time, a pretty common occurrence. Traditionally we played UK, UF, Vandy and Auburn every year anyway. We used to usually play one of the Mississippi schools pretty regularly (I don't remember ever playing them both in the same year but it probably happened) and one of Alabama, Tennessee and LSU. UGAs schedule is about what it was pre-expansion and divisions.

The Border War (as the Augusta and North Augusta Chambers have tried to name it) has been played 76 times in what, 120 years? It is a shame for it to go away. Augusta and North Augusta put on a pretty good event the evening before the game that will be missed. Its not as good now that its in the Greenjackets Stadium but still a pretty good event. The series is not competitive though....Georgia leads it 55-19-2.
