It’s amazing that the entire organization and large donor base knew Muss was out this entire year and we are here.

Anybody know if Kim Mulkey is looking for a change of pace?

Nope. This is standard operational procedure and has been for decades. This predates Hunter and even stretches back to the dying days of the Broyles administration. We decide to shite can a coach, or know he is going to leave no matter what, and fixate on one golden boy coach that will save us.
We then fail to put together a package to land that one special snowflake and have to scramble desperately for someone else.
Sometimes we get lucky. Petrino would have sucked a dead dog's donger to get back into college before he got fired at Atlanta and fell into our laps. Muss was sort of hanging around when we needed him.
More often than not we get a Pittman who is there and is the only person who really wants the job.
The problem is our "big money boosters" aren't really that big money (the Waltons have better things to spend their money on) and interfere just enough to really put us behind the 8 ball. We won't land first choices because we don't put enough on the table and they know they'll be lined up on the wall after one bad season.
Meanwhile, in the non-revenue sports, we are doing fantastic. Good pay, wonderful place to live, solid fan support. Our Women's Golf Team competes for national titles! Arkansas is arse when it comes to golf courses but we can compete in that?
It isn't just the AD. It is the culture. The more our Big Swinging Dicks (including our AD) assert themselves the worse we do. The more disinterested they are the better we do.

Been quiet today after all the Beard/Tang news coming hot. Latest was Wade would then would not be interviewing but I haven’t seen a thing at all today besides fans begging for a coach. The Samford coach has gained steam among twitters as a Pelphrey like fall back (this guy is surely better than Pel but if we go from Beard to Bucky….woof).

Maybe we can have some kind of Eagles like deal where the team holds open tryouts for next season. Not necessarily looking for talent but just warm bodies to have a full team.

Take with a grain of salt, but many on Hogville are saying Will Wade isn’t happening. I think I saw he played us for a raise annd extension. If this is true, there’s some behind the scenes shite we did to Muss that’s making candidates run the other direction.

Suspected this all season. Wouldn't be shocked.

Our fans deserve so much more than our athletic department

The last time Arkansas got a coach from a power 5 school in basketball is Mike Anderson.
Sutton from Creighton.
Nolan from Tulsa.
Heath from Kent State.
Pelphrey from South Alabama.
Muss from Nevada.

Probably collateral damage from NIL. We think of its impact mostly on players and programs but it looks like it will take a toll on coaches, too. With players who can leave at the drop of a hat if you are a coach in a relatively good position why would you want to leave and tackle the unknown when you are not really going to have a clue who will end up being on your roster. Historically good program or not I think that coaches now have to evaluate the risk factor of leaving a good place now more than ever.

Behind the scenes? HY's cute little video told every coach worth a shite everything they need to know. And that was public.

Nah. Yuracheck sucks but we didn’t do a damn thing to Muss.
Heard from connected buddy this morning he’s been pissing people off since the first Elite 8. Tried to get the Louisville job and then tried to get the Texas job twice.
He lost everyone in his camp besides the Hunts. Thats why NIL was shite this year and everyone knew he was gone.
He's not well regarded at all with AAU and coaches. Appreciate what he did but this thing has been falling apart since the 22’ season.
