fingers crossed and all but I am feeling better on Sears than I have been for a while. With him I think will be pre-season number 1. Not that its guarantees anything but just shows how far Nate has taken this program.

most years I would agree with you but I believe Duke will be #1.

Duke has nothing close to a pre-season #1 roster, so it'd just be based on hype. Way too many freshmen. Kansas looks better on paper and Self is a far more proven coach than Scheyer, so that's who I'm thinking it'll be.

Agree. Kansas is loaded, and most of these “experts” list them first. Doesn’t matter at this point. We will learn where we stand by the end of Thanksgiving weekend, as will lots of other contenders and pretenders.

We’re not only going to have a very deep team, but also an extremely veteran squad. Thunder starting five in playoffs now vs. potential 24-25 Bama starting 5 by next March:
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (25)
Jalen Williams (23)
Luguenz Dort (25)
Josh Giddey (21)
Chet Homgren (22)
Average: 23.2

Mark Sears (23)
Latrell Wrightsell Jr. (22?)
Chris Youngblood (23)
Grant Nelson (23)
Cliff Omoruyi (23)
Average: 22.8

Just saw a stat on the Barn. Looks like the average of their starters will also be 22.8 years.

Pegues: 22
Jones: 24
CBM: 24
Chaney: 22
Broome: 22

Interesting how it played out that, in the era of unlimited transfers, both SEC teams from the state end up with what are probably the oldest starting rosters in school history.

CBM being 24 is wild to me. I guess because he behaves like an absolute child on the court.

Should be a crazy fun year in the state for basketball.

On 3 big board opinion of top 10 players at each position. Doesn't have Sears in top 10 at either pg or sg. Personally there are some names ahead of him that I don't think any higher ceiling than him and I feel like he was better than, but the selfish side of me is hopeful we get him one more time and this gets him to return.

I hate that they are friends because I think Dan Hurley is one of the biggest assholes in college athletics. And I thought that all the way back when he was at Rhode Island and acted like a complete fricking a-hole when they played us in tHangar, so it's got nothing to do with his UConn success.

In 10 days or less we’ll know for sure how the team is going to look.
