During an appearance on SportsCenter Friday morning, Paul Finebaum said he thinks Texas A&M could be on upset alert against Auburn this weekend. Per SDS:
quote:

“People will say, ‘Well, why? Auburn has not been good at all this year.’ But Texas A&M, interestingly, controls its own destiny. That means they have to beat Auburn, they beat Texas next week, they go to the SEC Championship Game. What is so important though is that next week is the biggest game in Texas A&M history at Kyle Field,” Finebaum said. “Are they looking ahead? I think that’s a pretty good chance of happening. Mike Elko even slipped up this week in talking about Auburn. He mentioned Texas. So, keep your eye on Jordan-Hare Stadium tomorrow night.”
The Aggies are just a 2.5-point favorite in Saturday's game. Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.

Turns out, Finebaum knew what he was talking about for one time in his life.

So Finebaum, once again, is simply trolling for the ESPN Network in an attempt to get more folks to watch that game. If it is close, it is because A&M is letting others play to rest a few.

Still standing by that comment?

Why would A&M rest players with their season on the line?
