Recently, College Football News took every final AP Top 25 Poll dating back to 1936 and created a formula to rank the most successful schools all-time. The AP's No. 1-ranked team received 25 points, No. 2 team 24 points and so on...
quote:

Nick Saban is second to none. College football's greatest coach of all-time has captured six national titles since 2009 and hasn't lost more than two games in a season in 12 years. Saban is 189-27 in Tuscaloosa and passed Paul 'Bear' Bryant during the 2020 season for most championships all-time. Alabama's unprecedented run under his watch may not be topped and there's no signs of it slowing down since he just signed another top-ranked recruiting class. ... A respected program before his arrival, Saban has scaled college football's mountain with the Crimson Tide and has now taken Alabama to No. 1 in this all-time ranking according to AP Poll points.

I think they are about spot on. I would have UT maybe a spot higher. I think the AP poll started in 1936 so this does what it is supposed to do and look at the programs for that duration vs some arbitrary snapshot of 19 years or some BS.

Why not? There is only 1 school in the SEC with more national titles and wins than the Vols, and that’s Bama.

Despite the fact that they named 'bama #1, I strongly disagree with the methodology. It's too simplistic and undervalues championships.

11 is great compared to all of the good teams out there.

#11 ain't bad. Another 9 years of BK we ought to be #1.

Not a troll at all but LSU will never be the number one all-time program in college football. 11 is probably about right. Maybe a tad too high but probably close.
