Was Kirby right to call out the fans?

I had a glitchy feed and watched on mute most of the game.

Saw it.

He is underplaying the energy the Bama game took away from us.

It was hot and the players get shade before most of the stadium.

The game itself just lacked energy…the team did. Wasn’t just the crowd. Crowd (me also) never felt the need to get into it.

Well, Kirby, you just pulled a no show against Alabama yet again, half the state is still reeling from a hurricane, and your team looks like they're going through the motions. Look in the mirror, not at the fans.

Kirby can bitch all he wants but if the fans can see the problems how come he can’t.

Thus the booing

It must suck to be a miserable person.

What booing?

Was at the game and the only time there was booing was when a Auburn player faked a injury.

This. The sun has been miserable this season. We had to leave at half because my wife was showing signs of a heat stroke. He should try standing in that sun for a couple hours and see how much energy he has.

Not a good look for Kirby. Hot as hell, fans tired of losing to Alabama, and a good portion of your usual fan base recovering from a hurricane. Not the time to call them out.

The crowd sucked and it had nothing to do with heat. We're just spoiled and bored. It was a pathetic atmosphere.

Drink 2 biolytes 1-2 hours before the game. Greatest hydration tool out there short of an IV, IMO. I had a heat stroke in the 80s, and to a certain extent the crap stays with you for life, so I have to stay on top of it. It’s also why I am over the top/anal about my kids hydrating for their ball games. Dear diary …

Those things are fricking godsends. Those or Elctrolit(s) hit the spot.

I drink 2 after every one of my games on Friday night.

Lol

The last thing Kirby should be concerned with us the fans

This team has poor tackling, our DBS flail around like an epileptic tards when the balls in the air and barely contest passes, we continuously let the QB out of the pocket or don't get him to the ground when a blitz is called and all that's just on defense.

Out offense is just a vanilla and predictable as it gets. We just don't have the skill talent and play makers we have had in the past which is what this offense needs to thrive.

We are who we are. We prob lose a few more this year, and that's ok. Maybe this is how football will be in the new era

Agreed.

Coach better and quit feeding us “E-lite” commentary every week

Watching Vandy do what they did feels like our team is not top 3.

At best, 5-8 and we have one of the most talented rosters in the country

Coaching? Lack of focus? Let’s worry about that why don’t we?

Bunch of folks that can dish a lot of criticism but can't take it in this thread.

Probably the most disappointed I’ve been with our head coach since 2016.

“had nothing to do with heat“

What? Was only a couple clouds and lower sun, direct heat + humid. Definitely was a factor.

Say it again, them taking ice away from most of concessions is making things worse.

Def was no fans booing at any point outside of Auburn players faking injury.

He isn’t wrong about the crowd. He is just downplaying the team’s role in creating it.

My guess is, he is mainly looking at it from recruits we had in town.

Surprised he said that in the 1st place, honestly, and all this is pretty spot on. Heat was definitely a factor also, it was big time hot and we were in full sun the entire time.

Or maybe he just wants the fans to provide some juice for the players instead of vice versa. Not a big ask considering what he has done for our team, I wouldn't think.
