Todays game was ugly to say the least

I think everyone warned us that White is mediocre. I believe we are finding that to be correct

Not much going right lately. I try to keep a somewhat level headed opinion on things so as a little mental exercise I tried to imagine what our conference record would be at this point if guessing during the preseason. Obviously we have the benefit of hindsight now but I tried to pretend this was a preseason guess with zero knowledge of what has actaully happened so far.
Ole Miss- Oxford, Miss - Toss up
Kentucky- Athens, Ga.- L
Oklahoma- Athens, Ga.- W, or potentially toss up
Tennessee- Knoxville, Tenn- L
Auburn- Athens, Ga- L
Arkansas- Fayetteville, Ark- L
Florida- Gainesville, Fla- L
Ole miss is always a major variable preseason, they could be top 15 or mediocre. This was on the road though so we'll call it a toss up. OU was ranked in the top 15 entering conference play (which again, we wouldn't know preseason) but based on our roster and being at home let's call it a win. @UT and @UF will never be considered preseason wins in the foreseeable future (or past/present). Kentucky is kentucky. AU was a top 5 team just like they have been. Arkansas has calipari, basically last year's UK roster, and is on the road.
Add it all up and honestly 2 wins is about the most objective, realistic real case we'd be looking at. Which is exactly what we have. I think this is all the more deflating because a couple of these games we absolutely postively could ahve won, and a few ohters were blow outs. Like if we were right in the thick of it in the second half of every one of these games but gave out of gas and lost by 10, would we be as upset as now? Who knows, maybe not.
Games like yesterday aren't going to keep us out of the oturnament. Not even close. Games like the Arkansas loss won't do it by themsleves but they do hurt. Riught now we're simply in a position where our margin for error continues to shrink. Games like Tuesday at home against SC go from "yeah we should win that one" to "we NEED to win that one, like HAVE TO". Based on where we are now we simply cannot lose games like that one and still expect the tourney.
The "good" news I guess, is that our front half SEC schedule was about as grueling as our football SEC schedule. Which is to say...brutal. But it eases up on the back stretch. SC twice. LSU/Vandy/Missouri/MSU in Athens. All extremely winnable. Momentum is real so string a few wins together, build confidence, and the sky's the limit. If we can go 2-1 over these next 3 (not holding out much more than a prayer against bama) we're right back in the mix.

Being level headed and analytical is not nearly as sexy as having an anger laden emotional melt down

305th in the nation in turnovers and 356th out of 361 teams in turnovers in road games.
I had no idea the count even when that high. Pitiful!

Must have tonight

Put Kyrin Lawrence in the game and immediately our offense goes back to looking stagnant and retarded.
I'm convinced that Lawrence gets so stoned before the game that he can't feel his face. He is pretty useless.

Looking good at home so far tonight. Need this one.

USCe promptly goes on like 8-0 run.
Our offense looks out of sync...ho-hum. in for a rock fight I guess.

i’ll take a win however it comes tonight, but we still are going to have to figure out how to comfortably score over 70 points in games. 80 if you want to beat a big boy

Asa doing work. Hit a three after his teammates refused to help after he picked his dribble up. The. Gets a sweet pass from leffew for a slam.

Classic UGA, 5 second violation up 14…
Meanwhile, Asa grabs another board for a double-double, his 5th
And then another foolish Demry turnover
It’s the little things we should have down at this point, especially with starts in up 14 with 3 mins to go

Mike White getting irritated with the boys…9 points with 1:09 left and we can’t get out of our own way.
Just something to note, Blue Cain with a 3-7 and no assist performance, yet we only played 3 off the bench all night….Cyril, Lawrence and James

Gonna pull this one out, but another tough stretch coming as 6 out of our next 7 opponents are ranked in the top 20, including a top 5 seed in Alabama next

At least we shot/executed better tonight. Last couple of minutes were sloppy but overall much better performance.
