I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet, but he was just charged with rape. He is from my hometown, and from what I have been told, he and another guy I played with in high school assaulted an unconscious girl back in 2023.

Normally, I would suggest waiting for more details, as we have seen plenty of false accusations against athletes in the past. However, what evidently led to his downfall was Terry's mother being recorded offering the victim $50,000 in hush money. It's a sad situation all around.

So many just throw themselves at football players and they don't know how to act when the celebrity fades.

Shame on him.

I don't disagree with you. Most people struggle when they're no longer the center of attention, but raping an unconscious woman is beyond the pale.

So he may or may not have been blackmailed? Need more details around the "hush money" claim.

Rape is unforgivable in its own right but to do it to an unconscious girl is another level of evil.

I disagree. I think raping a person while they are unconscious is much more humane than raping them while conscious.

Would you rather be fighting, scratching, biting, screaming while being raped, or wake up and think "I might have been raped" ?

Oh, I think they are equally inhumane….you could counter that at least a woman awake has a fighting chance to gouge out eyes, bite, kick in the nuts….girl just passed out is raped and had to live in fear of sleeping the rest of her life as well.

I sat on a 6 day rape trial and heard a lot of testimony. I’ll tell you it changed her life in ways I wish on nobody, and this was not a cut and dry case.

To say one is “more humane” is a fricked up perspective

Why do doctors administer propofol before a colonoscopy?

Because someone voluntarily agrees to have a probe stuck up their arse and would like for the doctor to make it as least painful as possible….

What the frick does a voluntarily medical procedure have to do with rape?? You are fricked up here in your thinking. Oh, rapist was nice and wore a condom so it was more humane too…what a nice fella

You've had one too many Zima's. I never said raping an unconscious person was ok.

I was challenging steelerbravesdawgs's assertion that raping an unconscious person was worse than raping a conscious person.

I think raping a conscious person is worse. Raping a conscious person would require additional crimes like aggravate assault, aggravated battery, kidnapping. If the subject is already passed out, it's just plain old rape.

Interesting take, though I'd probably keep those thoughts to myself.

Yep. He was playing in the CFL when the event allegedly happened, and from what I have been told (by a reliable source close to the family) the victim reached out to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and let them know about the situation. Weeks later, he is selling cars in Texas and has not been back home.
