Ol Clem's-sons have quietly mopped the floor with everyone they've played since we took them to the woodshed in that opener. They're currently ranked #9. If they take down Pitt in a few weeks, who is 6-0 on the season, I'd say they'll probably be knocking on the door of the top 5. Only an ACCCG date with MIami (probably) will stand between them and running the table. While this looks good on our resume, it gives me an uneasy feeling about playing them again in the playoffs, if we hold serve. Of course, they're in the weak ACC, but they've looked pretty good from what little I've seen of them. Lest we forgot, they held us without a TD in the first half of that game.

They'll beat Miami by 3 touchdowns

We would beat them but certainly not by 31. First games rarely tell the whole tale of a team's season other than some outliers. We're not as good as we looked in that game and they aren't as bad but I wouldn't be afraid at all at meeting them in tbe playoffs.

Honestly OSU, Texas, and bama are the only teams that would really give me an uneasy feeling with a whole season/championship on the line.

-OSU doesn't look to be as good as their last few teams but they're still a top 3 most talented roster and have some elite skill position players.
-It would be hard for texas to look as bad in a rematch as we made them look last week. They have the horses to be a tough out and they weren' ranked #1 for nothing
-It's so illogical to put bama here but until we cna really shake that bugaboo for good I'll always be leery of them. The bama that played USF/Vandy/Sc/Tenn we would wipe the floor with. Unforutnatley we tend to always see the bama that showed up in the 1st half on 9/28.

Any other team, regardless of their name or what they're ranked right now, I feel like we would handle with ease.

I think we could beat them and Texas maybe worse, our offense was not clicking in either really.

With Texas specifically, my thought process is that it's simply not feasible (or rather, HIGHLY unlikely) for us to get the turnovers we got last game. Yes, yes...I'm well aware we had our share of turnovers as well so you can argue they canceled out. But it seems like most of our TD scoring was as a result of takewaways.

-First TD on the strip sack we only had to drive 13 yards for a TD
-Next possession we get great field position and only drive 13 yards again before kicking a FG
-We intercept them at their 34 and then drive in for a TD
-End of half we cause a fumble that we recover at their 30 and kick a FG before half.

We scored 20 points without having to barely move the ball on offense at all.

Plus I'm just thinking of the law of averages. Ther'es no way ewers could be as bad as he was in a rematch. No way Jalon walker is in the backfield every single play. Surely those kind of things would even their way out a bit.

Hell, the same could be said about the Dawgs.

Agreed. ClemPson and Texas are identical tbh. ClemPson has developed some of these young WR’s in the shitty ACC but as soon as they play a team like ours with elite talent, they’ll fold. They’re not all that good. I also expect VT to beat them in Blacksburg fwiw.

Oh yeah absoutely, I'm not trying to short change us at all. I'm just saying there's a VERY small handful of teams that can matchup with us with some combination of roster talent and coaching and they're one of them.

The sustained drive that resulted in the final Georgia touchdown came from being pinned inside our own 10. Maybe I'm misremembering, but that was the only drive of the night that felt like previous UGA teams that were considerably more talented on the offense, and I'm curious if I took those kinds of dominant drives for granted somehow.

That 3rd down conversion to Smith (Should have been targeting) followed by the double reverse pass back to Delp told me they got championship blood.

I'm with you....for some strange reason I would rather play Oregon than the Buckeyes, even though the Ducks beat them. Maybe its just psychological or something because we bullwhipped the Ducks the last time we played them and made it look easy. But that missed FG in the playoffs you gotta figure has been weighing heeeeeavy on the minds of OSU ever since. Something tells me they are itching for another shot at us.

It was definitely Chicken Soup for the Dawg Fan's soul. I missed seeing the offense click like that.

Oregon beat Ohio State by 1 at home after Ohio State traveled across 3 time zones and their QB made a boneheaded play at the end trying to drive for a winning field goal. If they rematch on a neutral field, Ohio State wins easily.

We are going to have to rematch with one of the orange teams to win a natty this year. Possibly even that crimson team.
