This but thankfully they don’t dwell too much in the sunshine pumping, “Kirby is faultless, Dawgs can never be wrong” zone either. Pretty leveled out as boards go

Miami getting dragged up and down the field is good for Dawgs recruiting.

I'm hoping with the firong of clay helton that we get some of our guys back from USCw, but then again I guess we have to wait and see who they hire.

In 2023 news, Georgia got a couple of CBs for Bo Hughley OT. BIG target, in more ways than one. 6'7" 290LBS with another year and a half of growth to go.
Rates at .9699 and #6 OT in the country for 2023.

Adding to the 2023 news is that Arch Manning is expected in Athens on Saturday night for the USCe game.

I think our fan base would do well to assume that there is a less than 1% chance that Arch seriously considers Athens. Always love when kids visit, as I trust Kirby and this staff implicitly to do their best job recruiting, but there just doesn't seem to be a feasible way to land him with the QB room as it stands today.

I think the feasibility lies in monken. Unfortunately, i just dont see him or lanning sticking around.

Do you think monken would go back to the league or aspires for more? Lanning will be tough. Monken I kind of secretly hoped he was in a stage of life he could just love what he does here

Cj madden I believe commits tomorrow. Thoughts?
Staff seems to think he very much underrated and there is little doubt he will pick us.
The other board has compared him to Brenton Cox without the problems.

Monken will be a head coach somewhere next year.
Edit: you dumbasses can dv all you want but it’s been stated over and over that if our O has a great year he’s gone. He wants to be a head coach again.

Agreed. Kind of a double lose scenario there... if Monken doesn't leave, it's likely because he didn't put up enough of an "I'm ready, come and get me statement" with our offense this year in the biggest games (not saying it will be this way obviously, just a hypothetical if he didn't). If that doesn't happen, then you still are outside looking in on Arch in all likelihood.

Pittman was as close to "in a stage of life he could just love what he does here" and he had even said as much to many recruits... but the reality is that in order to get where they are, these guys are driven... Kirby tolerates no attitudes of complacency, so it shouldn't be surprising that it bleeds into their career trajectories as well. By all accounts, Pittman was lobbying for that job, not just a candidate that they reached out to. Thrilled for him, but it was a little surprising to hear that he actively pursued it initially. Once I thought about that environment that Kirby fosters, it made a lot more sense.
Honestly, I'm not sure it would be a good thing to have a ton of coaches that just don't turn over for us. For a program to continually evolve, there has to be some turnover, new perspectives brought to the table. There's a balance to be had for sure, but especially at the coordinator position, I'd look at the Nick Saban Center for Rehabilitation of Wayward Coaches as a pretty good model for consistently bringing in innovation. Lets get some of these guys from Kirby's staff moving up to bigger jobs and make our program a coaching destination. It's a lot better than having a guy who's less hungry that you're having to pay exorbitantly based on past performance.
