Well he sure acted like he thought he knew what it was.

He has some minor NCAA violation which is why he wasn't hired the last time.

No he doesn't. It is a state job because it is with UGA and because of that, it comes with certain requirements that are pretty much set in stone that Chad did not fully satisfy. Unless somebody got that changed for this job or something like that, Chad will have to fulfill said requirement before he could be hired.

Even then, the job Jones did should be done by about 5 guys. Hopefully something like that is about to be what happens.

My bad. I thought I saw that on the other board that that was the reason. Would he be up for the position this time?

I thought we were supposed to have hired a team of people for this? Did they never make the hires.

That all makes sense to me, lets hire 100 analysts. Let's build a pipeline of developmental coaches, utilize the great amount of coaching talent out there in the great state of Georgia, even though you can only have 9 coaches on a practice field when players are present.

I'm all about that.

I just don't get the "we need a well connected high school coach as our recruiting coordinator" schtick.

That's something I could hear Paul Johnson say.

We are UGA. We may need connections in other states, but a "well connected" HS coach in Georgia as our glorified secretary is meaningless to me.

You know what happens when you don't have a well connected guy in a prominent recruiting position on your staff?

The UGA basketball program is what.

Fox didn't make a key hire when he first got here and that coach then went on to UCLA and took a bunch of top GA talent with him. That would have been us, but Fox made a poor decision and hired a bunch of guys with no GA connections. You see where that got us.

There was a rumor about something like that, but it is just a rumor. I have no idea if he would qualify this time, unless the requirement for the job had changed.

He would be a grand slam hire IMO, though.

I know they said they were going to, and I know of a couple that were supposed to have been hired, but I do not know for sure if they have yet been officially hired or not or what is going on with that. Actually going to inquire about those now that you asked.

Let's hope we can get Cleveland and Eason on board before then though. Hope he is visiting his brother, grandfather, uncles and cousins a whole bunch between now and then.

Has gotten inundated with big time offers the last couple of weeks. It is no surprise, everyone is all over him, why would he stick with Cuse?

This. Not that you HAVE to play football to understand the duties of recruiting coordinator, but it is very obvious after reading the other shite he posts.
