Did someone predict 17-15 before the season started? I can't recall.

After today's moral victory*, the Aggies finish with a record of 17-15 in Billy Kennedy's 3rd year.

Clearly BK deserves a 4th year. Clearly. Contact Eric Hyman via email at Ehyman@athletics.tamu.edu and demand a 4th year!

*Props are in order for Jamal Jones overcoming a bout of strep throat to play today's game, as well as Caruso who had a career high with 28 points.

I wrote in preseason that I was told by a knowledgeable source Billy Kennedy needed to make a postseason to keep his gig. #JustReiterating

Honestly I only want him replaced if we are going to commit to spending some money for a bigger name. A lame duck year can't hurt that bad if we could bring in a guy afterwards respected enough to court one-n-dones.

He did take Murray State to the tourney in his 4th year after not making the postseason for 3 years.

Did we really just accept an invite to the CBI?

ETA: Does that mean we made a postseason tourney and BK is coming back?

Hard to accept an invitation until the main one locks in its bracket...then the NIT...

If this season is indeed prolonged, than the entire athletic department just showed us how it feels to live in a world without the Eighth Amendment.

Honestly I feel like (and have felt like) when we joined the SEC we were waving the white flag on basketball hoping to improve in football. As much as it pains me to say that as a 00's Aggie whose best times as a student were at Reid and who specifically drove there in the limo after my wedding, the truth is that the SEC is a bad place to build a hoops program.

But hey, before the SEC move I told every Aggie I knew that our football brand was so terrible that it would be better to just try and be a hoops school. So I will take a dead bball program to be a football school.
